No, because it is probably only water that is lost and superficial fat, hence, as soon as you stop doing what you are doing, it will all come back and maybe even more! Besides, its not at all healthy! Your body will lack its regular nutrients.

Depends on what you mean by "rapid." There's a long chapter about not losing weight too fast in the Atkins book. More than 12 pounds a week will damage your liver. Less than that, however, is normal for Atkins, and will lower your cholesterol, blah blah blah.
