Yes the cumin and peppers in currys are a decongestant, the heat of the curry also increases sweating to actually reduce a tempurture and a curry will increase blood cells and make the heart beat faster, so a curry is great for killing a cold

Yes, it's true. The 'heat' acts as a good decongestant, and some spices (eg. turmeric) have antiseptic qualities that can be beneficial. Also, when you're ill you normally lose your appetite whereas your body needs all the energy it can get to fight the infections, and if a good curry is what it takes to encourage you to eat then all the better.

too right it is..
The chili acts as a decongestant, turmeric is fantastic for a lot of things.. antiseptic and antico-agulant(so if you cut yourself when cuttin your onions.. put some turmeric on.
Garlic is good for the heart, Onions are a very good source of Vitamin C, and ginger is good for the stomach...
Shall i go on? no, i'm goin to make a curry, i'm hungry now!

its the garlic component (garlic is great for colds and flu, helps clear the head and catarrh etc) chilli and spices are bad for hayfever sufferers, it builds up catarrh (i'm a hayfever sufferer myself).
