Anytime I have come down with a bad sinus infection I have just made a quick trip to the docs. They have much more potent drugs and will knock it out way faster than any home remedy.

yeah...i got a great one. Get a babies suction bulb. Take a cup full of warm water.... Add in about a quarter teaspoon of UN IODIZED salt. Stir.
When you take a shower suck up the salt water with the bulb and shoot it into your nostrils. Breath in while doing this. It's easier than it sounds. Do this to both nostrils and let your nose drain. Hence doing it in the shower....
Do this every day and you will never have another sinus infection.
Hope that helps.

Take a hot shower twice a day, the steam should help loosen things up, use a saline spray, 2 sprays in each nostril, Take either claritin D or Tylenol sinus, and drink plenty of fluids. And don't smoke or be around it.

Buckley's helps, but its not a home remedy. Also placing about a tbsp of vick's into a bowl of really hot water, and placing a towel over your head to sniff the water helps. Be careful you don't tip the bowl.

Yeah. There are plenty of over the counter medicines you can take that will help you without going to the doctor. If there were a cure for illnesses like this at your house, there would never have been a need to invent medicines for it.

If you are over 18, I recommend a "hot toddie". Our family doctor gave us the recipe many years ago.

Hot water
Honey
Bourbon
Bitters (available at your local liquor store, they will know what you are asking for)
Lemon juice
1 cinnamon stick.

Sorry I don't have exact proportions. Its more of a "use the force" thing.

Snorting salt water. Really. Mix 2 tablespoons salt in 8 ounces water and snort it. It will clear you up quickly. Do not swallow it.

these are all excellent remedies, however if you do not get relief or your infection lasts more than a few days, please see a doctor, you may need an antibiotic
