Just a moment of your time, my name is Jim Darwin. I'm not a Christian I don't believe Jesus is God.

I love all human beings and love Jesus. I read the Bible.
I don't think Jesus is God.

Have I made mistakes in life, yes I have. Absolutely.

So my question for everyone is,

when my soul burns in hell, because I never said in my heart Jesus is God, will it make a smell pleasing to the Lord your Christian God? If your not Christian, well it make a smell pleasing to their Lord the Christian God?

Just because a person does not believe in god, why would a christian, who you can bet does not follow the lord's rules word for word, why would that christian ASSume or come right out and say that we hate god? You can't hate what does not exist. We are not spiteful, critical human beings.
We give blood, volunteer, open doors for others, help blind people cross the street and give that kid in line ahead the extra quarter he needs for his magazine at the checkout...Watch where you tread, you may need my kidney some day.

No it does not make a smell pleasing to Him. God closes his ears to the souls that are in Hell. They made the choice to reject Him and they are forever eternally separated to Him. Does He still have sorrow for them? I'm sure He does, but He will not do anything about it, because their judgement has been set. They lived the life they wanted too and in the end......they sent themselves to Hell.

Satan roams the Earth and does go into Hell(I would imagine he is more on the Earth than in Hell). Why would he want to be around the souls that are already in Hell? He already has them, so he is on Earth to get more. In the very end, Satan and his legions will be cast into the lake of fire with the souls that rejected Jesus and God. Satan will feel pain and suffering just like us, for his punishment will be the greatest.

So you look at Jesus as just a man with amazing wisdom? Jesus is the great "I AM," He was with God from the very beginning. God is a spirit and cannot be in the mist of sin, nor can sin be in the same room with God. Jesus came into this world 100% man and 100% God. He was tempted with the same things that every human being goes through. HE was even tempted by Satan himself, which is something that is very rare. The only time that Jesus was spiritually separated from God the Father is when he was on the cross and he screamed out, "Father, why hast thou forsaken me?" That is when the weight of mankind's sin came upon him.

If you reject Jesus as God, then you are rejecting God himself. For Jesus said, "The Father is in Me, and I am in the Father."

"He that does not love has not come to know God, because God is love."-1 John 4:8

God is love, What is loving about torturing someone for commiting sins that he/she can only comit in only 70 or 80 years of their lives and be punished for all ETERNITY?

The Punishment does not fit the crime!!

Romans 6: 7 : "For he who has died has been acquitted from [his] sin."

According to the Bible when we die, our sin is paid off!!

Ecclesiastes 9: 5, 10 : "For the living are conscious that they will die; but as for the dead, they are conscious of nothing at all, neither do they anymore have wages, because the remembrance of them has been forgotten....All that your hand finds to do, do with your very power, for there is no work nor devising nor knowledge nor wisdom in She´ol [Hell] the place to which you are going."

According to the Bible the dead do not experience pain nor suffering!!

No where does the Bible specifically say that the Soul and Spirit is immortal, no where!!

So yes true Christians will tell you that the wicked will be utterly destroyed not tortured forever, that horrific act is not something the God approves of..

Jeremiah 7:31: "And they have built the high places of To´pheth, which is in the valley of the son of Hin´nom[Gehenna where the word Hell comes from], in order to burn their sons and their daughters in the fire, a thing that I had not commanded and that had not come up into my heart."

God disapproves of people being thrown in the fire and suffer a painful death, how different is it with the dead people?

Soon there will be a time where the rightous will inherit the earth and the wicked will be destroyed and no where to be found!! - Psalms 37: 9-11

There is hope for the dead though!!

Jesus promised in the book of John 5: 28,29: "Do not marvel at this, because the hour is coming in which all those in the memorial tombs will hear his voice..and come out, those who did good things to a resurrection of life, those who practiced vile things to a resurrection of judgment."

What will the rightous experience when they do get resurrection?

Revelation 21:3,4 : "With that I heard a loud voice from the throne say: “Look! The TENT of God is with MAKIND, and he will reside with them, and they will be his peoples. And God himself will be with them....And he will wipe out every tear from their eyes, and DEATH will be no more, neither will mourning nor outcry nor pain be anymore. The former things have passed away.”

They will enjoy this promise hear on the earth...Here the scripture reassures you that God will be with mankind..

Notice he did not say spirit creatures or angels...because when you go to heaven you are no longer human..

So these conditions are to be experienced by humans on the earth, right? Humans can't live in heaven, only spirits can!!

So hope this helps...

Actually if I am getting sent to Hell for just not believing Jesus is not divine nor the child of a deity why would I care if the smell of my burning flesh pleases him. Any deity willing to do that just because I use my brain to question doesn't deserve me as a burnt offering.

I'm not a Christian either. I cannot accept things that make no sense. It's not like I wasn't raised right, it's not like I didn't search, but my brain says it's not true. I have to go with my instincts. I think hickory wood is good, but applewood adds a distinct flavor that's well worth the effort.

HELL??? what is that, the "Under World"..well you have to realize that when the Bible was written people thought the world was flat and the center of the universe. To them the underworld was the otherside, we now know we revolve around the sun and the world is round so face it.There is no underworld ( Hell).

Wonder what the smell was like during the holocaust when they were burning jews. I doubt that pleased god much. or maybe it did and that's why he wants to burn us.

No, it is not a sweet smell for any of God's children to perish for the lack of knowledge. I am sure He gets no pleasure knowing that there are foolish among us who would dare to say there is no God.
