Because everyone in hell likes it there. They can practice their evil loves and arts on each other to the extent that is allowed. However, the Lord still rules over the hells. It says in the Bible that the Lord put hell into order before He ascended to the Father.

There will still be a chance for your salvation should you be left behind, but to overcome what will be happening in that time will be far more difficult than just humbling yourself today and asking Christ for forgiveness of your sins against God.
Believe me when I say that Christ has taught that it is far better to believe today than it is to try and believe tomorrow. Tomorrow may not be yours to have.
