Is it a bit little bit easier to have deposit machines or would you rather have someone ring up your deposit returns everytime you go to the grocery store? Not all states do 5 or 10 cent deposits and they just throw them away in the garbage or should they be collected for recycling in recycling bins instead of all this hassel of bringing back deposit returns to the store?

I like the machines.

The machines are slow, and it's really awful that some stores will charge you the deposit but will only take cans back that originally came from their store, so you have to take cans to different stores to return them. For this reason, I avoid the machines and take my cans/bottles to a bottle collection facility, who will take all of them and pay me what I am due with no hassles.
