Look for a generic minoxodil solution at the drug store (Rogaine is the brand name). It's a real drug and it really helps many regrow hair.
You should also visit a dermatologist. If your hair thinning is hereditary, only the stuff I just mentioned will help. But there are other reasons you can lose hair that may be curable.
Some things that can make you lose hair:
1. stress - look towards exercise and meditation to relax you more
2. hardcore dieting - if you're starving yourself, everything shuts down. If you're really thin, this may be a possible cause. Gain a few pounds.
3. hormonal issues - our hormones do some pretty powerful things to us. For example, we stop normal, cyclical hair loss while pregnant, only to have a mass "exodus" a few weeks after giving birth. It's pretty scary but it all returns to normal in a few months.
4. Alopecia - it's a skin disease, not sure what causes it, but it is temporary
So...hit the doctor up to figure out what's up.

There are alot of volumizing products that are designed for thin hair.
Thinning hair can be genetic, can be caused by stress or medication. I know heart med. & thyroid meds. can cause major change in the hair.
Amplify products are available through most salons that carry Matrix products, Amplify works great and they have shampoos, conditioners, and many stylist products. My favorite to use of thinning hair is Amplify Root Booster.
Also, Redken has GUTS Spray Mouse, it works great too.

you need to have a complete hormone workup as well as blood count and thyroid panel to rule out internal causes.Diet alone is not enough u need to take supplements.
1.) Seaweeds, help stimulate the thyroid and give minerals for the proper health of the hair
2.) Spinach is great for the hair, contains lots of minerals,as are all the green vegetables.
3.) Protein your hair is made of protein so make sure you are getting it in either animal or vegetable form such as fish,chicken,beef,legumes,nuts... and cheese.Or protein drinks.
4.) take a good b-vitamin supplement with biotin which increases hair growth.
5.)MSM contains naturally occuring sulfer and will make your hair and nails grow faster.
6.) silica
this combined with a good scalp massage with herbal hair oil will do wonders for your hair. Avoid brushing ur hair when its wet,and use a natural shampoo such as lamas chinese stimulating shampoo or Jason thin to thick.
