I have data in a spreadsheet that I would like to copy into a slide on ppt. At first I try to just copy and paste it in, but it does not fit and is not the same layout in the slide. Then I tried to open up the slide with a table format and then copy the spreadsheet into that. But that still doesn't work. Is there a way I can export my spreadsheet to the powerpoint slide. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Copy and past would work fine, you just need to make sure what you're copying will fit.

Either way that you do it will not auto adjust to size if you have a long spreadsheet.

It will have to go on more than one slide.

You can do the following to insert the spreadsheet (it's easier to format once importing into PowerPoint). Go to:
INSERT
OBJECT
CREATE FROM FILE
BROWSE (to locate file) or type the address if you already know the exact placement
Uncheck LINK (I recommend that you do not link as it makes the powerpoint presentation larger than it really needs to be

With the spread sheet on the screen, press the PrintScreen button (located above the insert key on the keyboard)

Go to powerpoint,
Go to blank slide
Press Control-V (Or edit menu then paste)
Click on the image that has appeared, and from the picture tool bar click on the crop tool button, (looks like black lines crossing each other)
Use this to get rid of bits of the images you dont want.
click off the image
resize to your needs.

Do a screen shot and save it as an image file.

Use the Insert menu in Powerpoint and choose the Inser Picture - From File option.

Convert to Adobe. Then take a snapshot of the part of the file you want to show with the camera tool. I have done this for my presentation and this works. Only pblm might be you will need Adobe Professional 6.0
