The "state of the art" software is Roxio's Toast Titanium. It is easy to use integrates with iLife and even allows you to burn to DIVX. It runs for about $80.00. Most movies you purchase are "locked" and cannot be "backed up"
You don't need any software to burn a generic DVD for data - (your files) -- just use "Disk Utility" a program which ships with any Macintosh. Drag the data to Disk Utility and click the "burn" icon.
It's that easy.

Dragon Burn 4 for Mac OS X is a nice piece of software.Very simple to use and very good for burning.Heere's the link 2 it,its a trial version:
