1. If you can't afford proper care for your animal you shouldn't have an animal, 2. turn him over to your local ASPCA or Humane Society so he can get the care he deserves, 3. don't get another animal until you can afford to take care of it.

Cats do not get the "flu." It is either really sick, from a number of diseases a cat can get. Or it may have a URI. Upper respiratory infection. If you have not been taking it to the vet to get vaccinated and you let it go outside, it may have a very deadly disease that is also contagious to other cats. SO use a credit card or borrow the money, but you need to take it to the vet!!
ps: dont get any new cats (or any animals) untill you get this one taken care of!!

cats don't get the flu. It could be an upper respiratory infection, in that case antibiotics need to be administered by your vet. If you can't afford that then you may need to take him to a shelter so it can be adopted or you need to find a rescue organziation to help with the vet bills

Cats don't get the flu. If it hasn't had vaccinations, it could have a contagious, fatal disease, like "distemper". Or it could be an Upper Respiratory Infection. In that case, for the cost of an office visit & antibiotics, you can treat her/him.
I like the one suggestion to save a little money every month for medical care of your pet. That way, when things crop up, as they *invariably* do, you'll have something to contribute for the care of your animal. Most vets will go along with a payment plan; they're in their position because of their love of animals.
If you can't take proper care of your pet, please find someone who will....

I agree with two of the other posters. Cats don't just get the flu and get over it, and they can't just tell us if something is wrong. You need to take your cat to the vet and work out some kind of payment plan with them. If you can not afford to do that then turn her back over to the local SPCA or animal shelter. They will find her someone who is able to care for her.

Cats don't get the flu. Take the cat to the vet and explain that you don't have the money to pay. Your cat needs medical attention.

How do you know he has the flu??
If your cat is ill, it will require medication- it can only be obtained from a subsription. So if you can't afford to go to the veterinarian, or to buy medicine, give the cat to someone who can properly care for him.
Dont try veterinarian clinics that look fancy or only specialize in one kind of animal, as they will be more costly.

it's best to save a little bit every month for medical attention that your cat may need. that way if your cat does get a cold or injured or what not you can take him in. it is also best to get established with one vet that way if you do run into financial problems they will be more likely to let you do a payment plan than if you are a new client.

First of all you have no idea for sure just what your cat has. only a vet will know. if you have a sick cat its your responsibility to get vet care for it. Beg, Borrow do what ever you have to get the funds to get the cat to the vets ASAP

Cats do get the flu and they will get over it.But they become very exceptable to other animals especially other cats so keep away from other animals and give plenty of fluids.
