Jehovah gave the command to Noah not to eat the blood of the animal.
Jehovah included it in his law to Israel.
The apostles and older men with the add of the Holy Spirit, in Jerusalem continued it to Christian. (Act chapter 15)

The command was to abstain from blood, and from things strangled.
What part of the word abstain doesn’t everybody understand?

If your doctor told you to abstain from peanuts, alcohol, or any other food, would you reason, I know I’ll put it in an iv and take it by transfusion.

Of course your doctor is going to agree with you.

Let’s say you’re unconscious and have been so for several days.

How is the doctor going to feed you?

Transfusion is the same as eating.

There's no such passage in the Bible. Blood transfusions didn't exist back then.

I am not aware of any such passage. If any Jehovah Witnesses log on with an answer, ignore them---they read out of a different Bible, a corruption of the true word of God.

it talks about eating blood is a sin and so some folks stretch that to an extreme and say that a blood transfusion is the same as eating blood.

The scripture that was taken out of contex was one regarding what is acceptable as food. We were told that simply to abstain from blood. It has nothing to do with transfusions.

Christians do have blood transfusion, Jehovah's Witnesses don't. It is all on your interpretation on what you read.

The Bible can be interpreted any old way you want to. Question is, why have concepts of "sin" before we know what "healthy", or, good means?
