A lot of guys like to be the ones doing the chasing, though there's nothing wrong with a woman making the first move. Some see it as bold and that's what some (but not all) men want. Perhaps you should check out "Men are From Mars, Women are From Venus" (though it's rather BS-y at times) and other gender study books.
Try to give guys some space, but make sure that you show that you're interested and not just ignoring. Have interests outside of the guy... it should help you be less clingy.

Too clingy. YOU MUST NEVER EVER LET A GUY KNOW HOW MUCH YOU LIKE HIM! You must always act like you can do better than him. When I hear clingy, it makes me think of this : You had a wonderful night with your new boyfriend and he hasn't phoned you, so you keep phoning him, when it's obvious he's not answering or doesn't want to talk or he's too busy. You actually make yourself too available to men. The most unattractive thing(Well, to me) is when a person wants you around them all the time and they are always worried about how you feel, etc and they act like they cant live without you.Dont be too desperate.

Its important for women in any romantic relationship with a man to remember that we do need our space, alot of men use this space doin different things, maybe spending time with his car, or going to a ball game, or maybe just chilling out on the couch relaxing. Whichever way he does spend this time its his time just to disconnect from the world and veg out. Dnt get me wrong its not just men but also women need time as well. again in many different ways This space does the relationship good, i mean to spend every possible minute with ur wife or g/f ? wow it wudnt take long b4 arguments started. If u want my advice ? learn how to back off a lil. 2 nights a week arrange to go out with friends or join a club where ur b/f isnt involved. this way he gets his time out and so do u. And hey u ever heard the term "Distance makes the heart grow fonder"? i know its corney but there is an element of truth in it......after a night of not seeing u at least then u got something to talk bout and a better conversation ? hope this helps :)

Maybe your a little bit too intense. If a person is over-bearing or insecure it can have this effect, not that I'm suggesting that you are any of these things, as I don't know you , it would be difficult for me to tell. Have a good long think about what you've said to the men in your life or what you've done, the way in which you have behaved ect. If you have a good friend who knows you well ask them for their honest opinion? but be prepared that you may not like what you hear but at least you will be working towards finding out more about yourself.

at Just need to find the right person. Some men digress having a clingy girlfriend, while others reap in the benefits.
I myself prefer the clingy type, the small touches, winks, and public display of affection really turn me on.

if ur to clingy with a man .( and i should know) they tend to not only think they are too important for u but ,also have a bad mind. They go and do as they please and be care full they hate the CLINGY WOMAN. they want some one to b able to talk to, not have them ***** about every thing. so if u can try to work it out some way . it only for the best.

Well, stop being clingy then! Be happy on your own, do things for fun, have a full schedule. Then you won't have to sit by the phone all day and night waiting for "him" to call. "He" will have to chase you down and fit into yout busy schedule!

Yeah that will definately chase them away. You can let them know they are important to you without being that way. I had a girlfriend that was that way. She wanted to always be on the phone with me or be around me and the way she felt was, if I had time to do anything, I had time to give her. It got old fast.
