I wanted it to rain today. But I didn't want it to rain on me I wanted it to rain onto other people.

It isn't what we want that makes us selfish, it is the motivation behind the thought that determines if it is selfish or not.

For example if crops were failing and rain was needed then it would be a nice thought and not selfish, if you just hate the world and want it to rain on everyone out of malice remember these people could include the ones you love and what if the rain didn't stop?

Travel would be made impossible except by helicopter or boat, possessions/belongings could perish and lives put at risk.

It depends how you look at the world, and through what colour sunglasses you perceive things. For some people rain would be nice (me i like rain and i love nothing more than standing out in a thunderstorm, crazy dude that i am,it feels refreshing and washes your worries away) so for you to wish it to rain on me i would be quite humbled and happy, other people might think differently, it all depends which colour glasses they are looking at the world through. Or maybe it could be interpreted as, you are feeling quite opressed or depressed lately, and see everyone else being happy, when you are not, and henceforth wishing it would rain on everyone else, but not you, in order to level the playing field a bit. But rather than wishing other people to be sad, and you to be happy, maybe foccussing on becoming happy in yourself, and losing whatever negative vibe you have, (im thinknig that you think this world is an unfair place and that you are a victim) and replace it with something a bit cheerier. But then thats just my opinion and to be fair i have no idea who you are or what your views on life are, so it is a rather uninformed opinion as well. Basically though, If your sad,do something about it. =) Hope that helps and i dont mean any offense, im just saying my rather long winded and boring opinion. Later dudette - Dan.

More mean than selfish really.
Is it that time of the month? If it is I completely understand. Although where I am right now we're lucky if it rains twice a year!

I think you're not. Cause i want it to rain too, but i only want it to rain on other people, and I don't think i am selfish. I am pretty nice actually, so i supposed you're not selfish too then.

I don't think your selfish, I think your angry about something and you are wanting to take it out on others by having it rain on them instead, guess we all have days like that at times.

I wouldn't say selfish. Maybe dumb!! You would be missing out on one of Gods greatest gift to us. The rain that gives life to so many and so much. U would be the only looser.
