What would you prefer, lab tests or CSI forensics? Even if you saw what you would call "satisfactory PROOF", you would still not believe. There were people who SAW Jesus perform miracles, they saw him raise people from the dead, and because there hearts were hardened and full of hatred, they STILL could not believe.

Hello Jibba Jabba! Appropriately named!
In answer to your question, there are many volumes you haven't read because you can't. They are in foreign languages. And yes they support the bible. Learned scholars who can read the ancient texts agree on what is now available, as accurate.
The Jews kept very accurate records and nearly all except for those lost when the temple was burned verify, not tear down what the bible has to say.
Also lost to your learning is the thread of information carried on through out the bibles pages, that connect the ages.
Only a loving creator would do a thing like that. But, I'm sure I'm probably over your level of understanding, so If you will excuse me, I have answers to give to willing believers..Bye

I think that people like to mix science and religion because of the faith they have in science. It has a basis in unemotional empiracle experiment and evidence. On the other hand religion has been practiced though the ages as a means of control by a priesthood over everyone else. If science can explain things, then faith becomes a lot easier.
I think that religion is best practiced as a personal method of learning about yourself and your relationship to the rest of Life. To know Self, to know God and beyond. This does not need to conflict with science, nor does it need to be validated by science. If you wish to be truly free, then you must be fully responsible for your own state of mind and heart. It is up to you to validate your own truths.

It is amazing to me how often Christians make that mistake. Folks, the Bible may be proof enough for you, but it won't do anything toward proving something to a non-Christian. To a non-Christian, it's just another book. When my friends and I play word games and we come to the question "fiction or non-fiction," we put Bible stories in the category fiction.

No the Bible is not proof. It is merely a guide.
Our proof is given to us because we believe. Faith first. Then we MAY be given proof. We are allowed, sometimes, to see things. Our proof is proof for ourselves, not for the world. I could tell you my proof and you would laugh and scorn, likely.
But let us speak of science for a moment. Perhaps your science book is wrong. Gravity does not exist. Go fly, without aid of any kind. Not working? Because gravity is a true force in this world.
Not that people have not levitated and more with aid from their faith, but I don't reccomend trying it.
Faith is not something to be taken lightly. It is a force of it's own, but one within us. It is something that must be made as strong as diamond and allowed to grow large within us. Then and only then can we see the proof of God. It is when we know, beyond any doubt and without proof, that we may be given proof.
While this may seem trite, I have a way that may help you understand. Watch a movie called The Christmas Secret. It stars Richard Thomas and is a beautiful, wonderful, magical movie about a man who chooses searching for the answer to a mystery rather than enjoy Christmas with his family. He finds Santa Claus. It deals with believing, which is rather like faith. Understand the movie and you will gain simple understanding of faith. Then you may build your faith and MAY see proof of your own!

Usually the proof we Christians are referring to are the physical fruits in our lives.
Have you ever thought something similar to "Rats, I need milk and black pepper and I have no time to go shopping...kids to soccer, youth group, just got to mow the lawn before the place starts to look like a jungle..." Then, miraculously, your mother in law shows up with those exact things saying "It was BOGO and I won't ever use this much." That is not a coincidence...it is a blessing.
Aw, come on...you have had those things happen to you too, right? You just were not sure who to thank. Now you know! God loves you too!

Yes we do mean the Bible. That is the ultimate proof the ultimate authority. Jesus wasn't going to stay on the earth because he was going to prepare a place for us. So God inspired humans to write His words so that even generations long after Jesus time would still know about Him.

I agree that there is no proof that Christianity is true. In fact, I changed religions as I saw it was, to me, not possible. G-d is G-d. G-d is One.

When you point to something to show someone what to look at, is your finger the proof? No, the proof is when they look at what you're pointing at. The Bible points to the living God. When someone really looks at what its pointing to, God will be visible.
