This depends uppn how you define "vicious". If viciousness is intended to mean the number of deaths caused by a particular species against the same or other species, it is most definitely (and obviously) humans. If it is based upon the methods by which an animal predator kills other animals, then it is very much subjective. Lions have big teeth, can kill most other animals quite easily, and can fight extremely viciously, but ultimately they don't account for many deaths overall. A killer whale might play extensively with a captured & injured seal before eventually devouring it. But they don't really affect seal numbers. Mosquitos on the other hand kill millions of people.

There may not be a more vicious creature than a Russell's Viper snake! According to the latest news by BBC, this snake has claimed more than 20,000 lives per year!
The venom of a Russell's Viper snake can be as fatal as one makes it late for medical attention. Sadly that's what exactly happens to the victim, unaware about its bite. Most of the victims have been agricultural labourers.
Irony is that, India, where this fatalities are more than anywhere in the world. Despite the abundant availiablity of anti-venom in India, hospitals doesnt know really how to use it! An awareness in this regard has been brought, of late by a leading World Health Organisation expert, Dr.Ian Simpson.

Rednecks, Po'whiterash, Right wing, NeoCon, Racist, Sexist, Homophobic, Chreesteean Fundamentalists! (Never got that term... WHERE is the FUN in them monkeys? more like Fun-Demented-Lists!huh? ;o)
These ugly, incestuous, vicious lil'buggers crop-up everywhere, illiterate, dumb as brushes, spiteful bullies, envious of everything more intelligent than they are (like dirt, rocks and twigs, for example!), utterly (and indefensibly) obsessed with a BRONZE AGE releegeeon and intent on dictating to EVERYONE how WE should live!! HA! (rather remind me of their closest relatives: Islamic fun-demented-lists!)
I'll take my chances with a Tasmanian Devil, Crocodile AND hungry Shark ANY DAY, rather than face them vicious, corrupt, destructive, life-and freedom-hating primitives! Anyone know of an effective repellent aginst the pests? We should spray The whole Solar System with it!

Tasmanian devil takes the title. It's got incredible temper and unmatched viciousness. Other animals steer clear of the devil despite it's small size. You'd think most Australian Animals are cuddly; not this one. Even Steve Irwin Of late memory treats these beasts with the respect they deserve.

Animal Planet has dubbed the Hippopotamus as the most deadly. It even scares Crocodiles, they won't mess with a Hippo for fear of being killed by one.
