For the last few months, my feet and ankles have been bothering me. They always felt sprained. I recently went to the doctor and had bone scan done on my feet and it indicated that there was inflammation build up and the inflammation is getting inside my bones and infecting my bones in my feet. Is this a serious matter? I work at a job that requires standing on my feet for 12 hours in steel toed boots. My job don't have any sit down handwork or anything. Do you think I should take short-term disability? The doctor perscribed Naproxen and rehab, but should I also take disability to get a full recovery? I think it would irritate it more standing for 12 hours with infected bones....

Thank you to those who reply...

I'm with Jackie. And yes, you should take that short-term disability and recover fully, or else you will be sorry.

Good luck!

How old Are you? If you are close to retirement age I wouldn't worry to much but if you are still young you are going to need those feet working for you for a long time yet. I would check into wether you are eligable for disability and take it if you can afford to. You need time to heel and if you push yourself you may not recover fully and regret it in the future.
