I listen in class and take notes. Re-read quickly later that day to review. Then take study before the test. I also go for the adage of study a while 30 min. take a break for 30 and go back. Keeps your mind fresh.

BIG CONCENTRATION, resume the most important of each paragraph, take notes, and later just study the notes.

Find A quiet place and a good time where u can concentrate best. Listen to soft and soothing if u find it too quiet...
