that walking is the best for overall fitness. I am a 43 year old female who has recently started walking, and I walk about 2 miles per day. I am not doing it to lose weight, just to feel better. I am wondering if someone can tell me more benefits of walking, and if it is truly the best for you overall. I have also changed up my diet, and I feel so much better about myself. Thanks to anyone who answers this and gives only serious answers.

Walking is an excellent form of exercise because it is less stressful on the knees than running. Try walking at the speed where you are almost sprinting, this can substitute running by helping you reach a cardio heartrate.

2 miles a day is great. Walking is low impact on your body, and you may not lose weight now, over time the scale wil start to go down. I started 3 years ago with eating better and walking. I lost 30 pounds so far.
