Firstly, she is actually at a healthy weight for her height. She's just very very petite! If she's uncomfortable though, my patients with anorexia drink Ensure for weight gain. It's packed with nutrients and calories, but is condensed, so it will not leave her feeling overly stuffed. Kind of tastes like chocolate milk. It comes in chocolate, vanilla, butter pecan, etc. http://ensure.com
Also, if she's concerned, meeting with a doctor and a nutritionist might help reassure her. Here's a link to find a nutritionist:

Good luck!

Take her to a nutritionist. They're going to tell you honestly what's safe for her to take. A sales rep is looking out for his bottom line, they normally make commission on the products they sell. Have you had her checked for thyroid problems?
As long as she's eating, she's fine. Protein is helpful for building muscle. Carbs are our bodies preferred source of fuel. Ensure is good. When I had pneumonia, it's what I drank to make sure I was getting some calories and nutrition, I couldn't keep solid food down for a long time and lost a significant amount of weight (93 lbs at my lightest). When I was able to eat again, I found while I was drinking it, I put on more weight while using it than just trying to eat balanced meals alone. Express carries 0 short, I'm still recovering and was sick with pneumonia almost 2 years ago :/ Though I'm finally back up to 110. If she gets the chocolate ensure, mix in some chocolate syrup to make it a little more palatable. All of the nutrients in it can make it taste a little yuck.

I had the same problem and consulted a doctor. The results: my metabolism was way too fast so they prescribed some protein shakes and a strict diet containing lots of protein and injectable vitamins. It is important to know what to eat, in what amount, and monitor that she eats at least 4 to 5 times a day not including snacks.

well, with your use of " ", i cant tell if she actually eats or you're just saying she hardly eats. make sure she's eating about 2000 calaries a day, heavy on the carbs. that should get her a few pounds in about 2-3 weeks. are her eating habits good? or is she only drinking coffee and eating pastries? she needs water and protien and veggies and all that good stuff. maybe you should see a nutritionist? or at least your dr to make sure she isnt at an unhealty weight? (she's short, so i dont know how much she should weigh at that height)

There may actually be little she can do as he metabolism seems like it runs very high and it also sounds as like she is healthy and very normal. Some women don't truly become WOMEN and get a nice figure until after they have a child .

Influence her to eat more and then I would tend to eat more carbs than protein. Keep the meals ballanced with an emphasis on carbs. You may also want to see a doctor
