Please note, I DID NOT specify any particular reliqion. Many people believe in God, but not the divine nature of Jesus. That is what free will is about, it IS their choice.

Satan plants that seed of undeserving and doubt in our brains. that is how he keeps us from getting closer to God and receiving all of God's blessings. we as humans don't have trouble believing our parents love us, how much more does God our heavenly Father love us?!

How can they believe that God loves them when the religionists have perverted God's message and designs? The religionists claim among others, that:
1. God gave us free will
2. He created the satan to tempt and deceive helpless human beings
3. He guides those whom he likes(favours)
4. He can destroy the whole nation for the sin of only a few
5. He visits the iniquities of the father on the son. We are now paying the price of Adam/Eve's sins
6. He created the hell for unbelieving sinners
7. He makes some people rich, healthy, fruitful and happy while others are the opposites
8. He destroyed harmony on earth by a multiplicity of languages and cultures, and yet expect one standard mode of behaviour
etc, etc....................
All the above and similar other things are unwittingly making one feel that God does not like his human creatures. This is what the religionists and false prophets have caused - doubt about God's love for man.
However, God in essense is LOVE. Every creature will reap the fruit of his deeds through a process of purification, which reincarnation brings. Man will keep coming back to this world to atone for his imperfections until such a time that he will be fit to take his rightful place in heaven. This is what his free will has done to him.
The cultivation of love for all, as God wants it to be, is the beginning of the end of agony on earth.

I dont think its becuz of those reasons. For me, Ive been ill for more than 5 yrs and I pray and pray for Gods help with getting well, and I never see a difference. Ive always tried to be a good person and do the right things. Im a very giving person, but Im still ill.
Whats the deal? Why does God want to keep me down? Or is it God? Ive done everything I can do to get well, but its like Im spose to be this way. Why do this to me, when there are so many criminals out there. I know I shouldnt ask, that, but if God was all powerful, he wouldnt let this happen to me. This is why I think ppl assume they arnt loved by God.

Neither this nor that, it's a matter of how you take it or look at it.
God is tend to be loving caring and of course is the good side.
there is still a big question remain in our heads, what is the purpose of our life, since we have to fight the evil and stick to the good, what is this fight for, who will benefit from it, and who's watching and who's get the results from all these testes..many and many questions no one has the right answer, only everyone has to believe in something and save his own conclusion for himself.

you're precise. the belief of a loving God springing up a fiery place of eternal torment isn't in basic terms. The Bible tells us that "God is love." (a million John 4:8) And Psalm 33:5 says that God "loves righteousness and justice". guy is "in God’s photograph" (Gen. a million:26) in that he substitute into created with ethical characteristics like those of God, consisting of affection and justice. (Col. 3:10) So merely as burning somebody alive isn't an appropriate punishment for wrongdoing to us human beings, so too, a loving and merely God does no longer condemn somebody who has lived 70 or eighty years to eternal torment. the project is that the belief of Hell as being an eternal place of torment is a false impression. The notice "hell" is contemporary in lots of Bible translations, yet contained in the comparable verses different translations examine "the grave," "the worldwide of the ineffective," and so on.

I'd say it's more people having trouble believing he exists. When religion is used as a tool for mass control and war, theres no wonder why.
And... umm... I dont think people are perverted by the world... maybe jaded is a better word...

Man is born evil not good. Man will never understand God who is in fact a marriage of Divine Love and Divine Wisdom.
We can only receive God's Love and Wisdom and man is said to be a "receptacle" of God's Love and Wisdom.
Man has the cup and platter - food and drink receptacles.

I talk a lot with a girl online who has been abused and is depressed all the time.
When all your life people you know have been using you and mistreating you and don't pay loving attention to you..... it's rather hard to imagine that the God of this universe, who created all THOSE people, loves you unconditionally.
I'm fighting a real uphill battle trying to show her love.

It's not that people have trouble believing that God loves them, but that God exists.
I believe in God, but it goes against rational thought. At least I recognize that. It's an instinct. I truly believe it, but I couldn't give you anything to back it up. That's just too hard for some people to do, and not worth it to them.

Because they are trying to hard to understand God instead of just trusting him. They depending on logic but there is a lot of things they everyone knows for a fact exist but defies logic. But through God all things are possible, God is all powerful so yes everything is not going to make logical sense to us because we don't have the power to do such things. People just need to trust and believe.
