youll need:
a couple friends.
a hairdryer or two.
rubber gloves for all of you.
a couple combs you don't mind wasting...trust me you won't want them anymore..
and glue. ELMERS glue. the white stuff.
i know... lgue and my hair?? gross.
but actually its not that bad. and washes out like hairgel.

you probably wont be able to get all of your hair into one because it will be heavy...but my daughter and my son did a 1.5inch one down the middle of my daughter's head and left the rest of her hair on the sides and curled it out...

after you seperate the hair you are gonna put into the mohawk, you'll put the rest in like buns or ponytails..
then seperate the hair into three or four different parts.
you won't be able to get the "fanned out" look it will have to be kind of chunky becuase of the long hair and the curve of your scalp...
anywho...
you put on the gloves and with the first section you start putting the glue at the base and work it up with the comb like hair dye.
make sure you get a lot at the bottom becuase if you don't it won't stay up.
then take plenty of glue on your palms and "squish" them together around the hair...like flattening it and pulling it up...
if you are the person getting the mohawk you probably with have to have the other people do this...
anywho...you have one friendhow the hair up and the other blow dry it, have two people blowdry it for faster results...
continue doing this with the other sections...
the top section will be the easiest and probably the biggest...
then make the sections smaller to follow the curve of your head...

with my daughter's hair being about shoulder length it took like 1.5 hours, so expect to spend some time....
it takes forever and alot o fhelp from friends who don't mind having tired arms.
for shoulder length hair i would suggest two to three bottles of glue...
adjust accordingly.

you will be picking glue clumps that got left behind when you washed it for the next couple of days. : )
ahaha.

btw, i know this might not be the best answer but it took me forever to write can i have the ten pts. for effort?
lol.

thanks anyway, and good luck with your mohawk : )

Go to a men's barber and have your head shaved or cut close on the sides, about 2-3 inches on the top for the mohawk. Then use mousse for the spikes.

Go to a barbershop. As far as I know, there is no sexual difference in the haircut, such as a "girl" mohawk or "boy" mohawk.

Get most of your head shaved and leave a patch in the middle that's maybe an inch or two long. If that's too long, get more shaved off.

I don't know what makes people think just because the girl wants a mohawk that means she wants to shave her hair off on the side.

You can braid the sides of your hair up like this:

And I don't know if your hair is long or short. If it's short you might need some type of hard gel or pomade. If its longer you can always let it hang like the girl here in the middle. Her's is braided up on the sides and left hanging down long at the top.

"If the hair is to be worn up, twenty minutes or more of laborious styling, including brushing, backcombing (teasing), twisting and so on, may be required. Some styles are particularly difficult to put up, requiring the use of very strong-hold hair gels and sprays, and in some cases other holding agents like shoe polish, tooth paste, white glue, egg whites, cornstarch or Knox gelatin. The amount of time required for styling may increase considerably with longer hair or styles that require even spikes and lines."

I Like to use Knox.

counting on which hairdresser you bypass to, they're going to decrease it for you. basically attempt to detect a a lot less-conservative one. in case your hair is lengthy sufficient, you may basically go away it down, and slightly every person will word. do not use gel! it truly is too heavy and weighs down your hair. every time i spike mine, i exploit Nature's remedy "specialist". that's a well-known kind, yet works amaaazing. i'll spike my hair like 10 inches into the hair and it doesnt crumple all day. :] the spikes might want to be as severe as you want them, yet i'd not propose going over 8-10 or so except you're truly truly into it. I have short hair on the perimeters, it truly is about 2 inches on my temples and three-4 inches everywhere else. it replaced right into a pretend-hawk ingredient, yet i'm starting to be it out now. I have a longish, skinny face. various people supply me compliments, so i'm fantastically particular i regarded sturdy. you maaay favor to initiate donning a tiny little bit of eyemakeup. even basically truly eyeshadow will make you seem a touch more desirable female. besides the very undeniable reality that, see you later as you're not from now on donning adult men's clothing, it should not be counted too a lot. basically have relaxing with it! :] in case you completely hate it or get unwell of it, it grows out. it truly is basically hair.

There's something out there called hair glue. I can't think of any brand names off the top of my head, but one of friends let me try some of hers once and it made my hair hard as a rock very quickly. Find some.
