Why do you think that God hates anyone? He is merciful and just, He is Slow to anger and abounding in love. Hate cannot abide in Him.

Your statement that you are an "atheist and I don't hate anyone" is contradicted by your question. You are branding God as a person of hate and branding His followers as persons of hate and calling the faith of others "mythical".
Your true feelings of anger and hatred toward God and Christian believers is evident.

You must be talking about the God that comes from Christianity. I'm sorry but you must understand that the public image of any God is only as good as the ppl who worship Him. Christianity has turned into hatred for non-conformists. That is why your relationship to any God should be personal not public. When one starts thinking in terms of conversion I believe they have lost site of what the orig anal intention was.

God doesn't hate. Think of him as a father figure who went out for the night and left his children in charge of themselves.(A lot of us do that) He tells them to be good and gives them a set of rules to follow. (Just like we do) Those who obey the rules will get rewarded when he gets back and those who don't will be punished. Isn't this how we talk to our children? Through the course of the night good things happen and bad things happen. It is up to each of us to help each other out so when a war breaks out in another country or you see people(children of God) suffering in other places remember that it is up to you to help them. God is watching, thats what he does. Every now and then he helps those who really need it but If we don't help each other then who will? Follow the rules they help to make this world a better place but also ask yourself before you critique God are you doing anything. If you are then bravo to you but if you are not well then i would suggest you don't lay blame. God loves us like a father or mother but what you have to understand is that he cannot do everything for us otherwise we would learn nothing. Sometimes i have to sit back and let my son make his own mistakes. Only in that way does he learn. Just like me and you.

What makes you think God hates? God is abounding in love and mercy; so much that He allowed His only Son to be sacrificed for our redemption.
If you are referring to the bad things that happen in this world, they are not of God's hatred or anger, but a result of free will. God made us in His image, and so as not to enslave us, he gave us free will, so that we could choose to voluntarily reciprocate His love. This free will is also the reason for everything we choose, which sometimes results in the bad things that happen in this world.
