That actually happens. The bible speaks of a situation where you can certainly lead people to God but if you do not have your own personal relationship with God you will have already cut yourself off from heaven. God does not cut anyone off. People cut themselves off.

How do you know that God has cut off the pastor from heaven. If the pastor is appointed by God, then God will not cut him off. God may remove his lamp stand and cancel his reward for misconduct, but the pastor cannot loose his salvation. If he continues to witness to people and lead them to Christ, that is okay. A person's salvation is not dependent upon any human being---it is the Holy Spirit that brings the person to the throne of grace and Jesus that saves.

the pastor never saved anyone, Jesus did, the pastor only led them to Jesus

pastors cant save anyone...only god our father can do that. a lot of people are pretending to be pastors, but are not, in it for the money. Our heavenly father don't want our money, he wants our love.

God doesn't cut off anyone - it is the person themselves that does that.
God can use anything a person does for the good and indeed twists all of man's action to the good.
