The answer to your title question is yes you can get your period while you are pregnant - but then reading further I doubt very much wether your friend is pregnant if she got her period the day after sex - You shed the lining of your uterus during your period and its the lining that the embryo needs to stick to, to start growing.

You can't have a interval and be pregnant whilst. Except you would have 2 wombs/uteruses and that is *tremendously* rare. I wouldn't have any doubt that you simply bled your complete being pregnant. Lots of females revel in bleeding while pregnant. It isn't that top notch. You regularly mistook it for a period like so much females do. A period most effective occurs while an egg may not be fertilized. When it is not fertilized you shed the uterine lining and accordingly have a menstrual cycle. If the egg IS fertilized you do not shed the liner since the little one wishes that. I additionally get tired of seeing this query since it amazes me what number of men and women haven't any inspiration how a menstrual cycle most likely works. Men and females CAN bleed and suppose this can be a conventional period (normally it even occurs around the identical time every month) however it isn't a *exact* period. If it was once, you would not be pregnant.

you could no longer have a era and be pregnant on a similar time as. different than you will have 2 wombs/uteruses and that's *surprisingly* rare. i've got little question which you merely bled the whole being pregnant. an outstanding variety of ladies journey bleeding whilst pregnant. it is not that superb. you generally mistook it for a era like maximum females do. A era simplest happens whilst an egg is merely no longer fertilized. whilst it is not fertilized you shed the uterine lining and for this reason have a menstrual cycle. If the egg IS fertilized you do no longer shed the liner by using reality the teenager needs that. I additionally get wiped out of seeing this question by using reality it amazes me how many human beings have no theory how a menstrual cycle surely works. ladies and men human beings CAN bleed and sense it extremely is a common era (many times it even happens around the equivalent time each and each month) whether it is not a *extremely* era. If it was, you does no longer be pregnant.

This happened to my mom when she used to be pregnant w/ my little one brother. Whole surprise (she used to be 4-5 months when she discovered). She assumed she wasn't pregnant b/c she was having what she idea to be "traditional intervals". Similar to some women have anovulatory durations (periods where you do not ovulate)...That is most commonly the case w/ pregnant women. In July, I had an early interval came correct after CD26 and i on no account come that early I usu range CD28-32. If I hadn't had a subsequent interval previous this month after CD29 I def would have confirmed. ~good good fortune

Ok, first of all your friend should get to her doctor and ask for "The morning After" pill. Secondly, she should ask for ,and study, literature on STD'S (Sexually Transmitted Diseases), Thirdly you should not have your period when you are pregnant, if you should start to bleed when pregnant this may be a sign that the foetus is aborting or that there is a problem. How ever due to the nature of your friends predicament she should go and talk to a doctor. Oh and by the way, having intercourse at anytime, menstrual period or not , can get you pregnant. Please don't believe the myth that if he pulls it out before reaching orgasm you can't get pregnant because you can!!! Take care and protect yourself, there are many nasty diseases out there.

I remember having this debate too!
It is very unlikely that she is pregnant, but it is possible. You only have to see the articles every so often in Dolly or Girlfriend where a girl goes to the doctor with tummy pains and comes out with a baby. They still get their period and they hardly put on any weight (with the baby lying across the womb it doesn't bulge).
Your friend needs to go to the doctor or family planning clinic and have a blood test to find out if she is pregnant and also get tests for sexually transmitted diseases.

It is possible to be pregnant and still have a period. I did with my 2nd child so when he was born a month early and appeared to be full term, my doctor said that is what happened.
But more times than not, having a period will clean the system and prevent a pregnancy.

Never. You may have bleeding but that is not a period.
In the case that you described, if her egg was fertilized on Saturday, it was washed down by the menstrual flow on Sunday. During the period her linings are regenerated and the fertilized egg has nothing to attach to.
