Here is the deal. I work as consultant at a University. Im in my late 30's. I have a girlfriend There are about 3 college age girls that individually stop me and talk to me. Each smile all the time , they run up to talk with me. I thought I was seeing things, but it happens several times a week. Last week I found out that the three of them knew each other. They are in the same sorority. They are very friendly and touch little things on me like my ties, tie pin, lapel pins. etc. Two of them smile A LOT all the time at me and whenever they see me they run over and have a conversation. I smile and stuff too, but just to be polite. Are these girls hittin on me? They know I have a girlfriend, but it seems like they are flirting in a way. What can all this mean? I am avoiding them becuase they look more and more aggressive as time goes by. I'm flattered I think, but they are hot. I can resist but why me.

So are they hitting on me? What should I do? I am attracted to one of them, she makes a black man blush. But am I a target of a sorority bet? How do I find out whats going on?

I see a lot of good answers out there. To be or not to be......Would I be a total loser if I resisted and didn't give in?

lol at the Why Me?!! Yes hun, they're hittin on you & they shouldn't be. If you suggested something, they'd be on you like a duck on a junebug - no time wasted! If you are going to be true to your girlfriend then you need to back up when they get in close & start going to touch you - that's invading your personal space & as a consultant that makes you an employee of the college - not good to mingle with the students, you savvy? You have my sympathies at trying to resist all this delectable delight being thrown your way, but in all honesty you can't touch them & I think you know that or you wouldn't have posted your question & remarks the way you did! Remain professional; that's your best bet. Good luck & congratulations, too, on being a decent man. I didn't think there were any of them left . . .

All is fair in Love and War.... as they say.... and, you are not married, so you are still open season!
I just hope you are not part of a sorority prank, or initiation dare.
If you are really happy with your current girlfriend, just talk a lot about her to "them" and they will get
the drift.
And.... P.S. Why not you???

Maybe they just think you're attractive....
or having a bit of a 'play' .... they could just be messing with you.
My suggestion is to forget about them, and avoid them if you can.
Stuff like that will only get you in trouble, especially because you have a girlfriend :)

Well they are looking for a little way to get a good grade!! Don't go for it cause you could get into trouble and lose your job!! Tell them politely you are not interested. Have them meet your girlfriend and let them see you are not interested!! GOOD LUCK!!

What if they have put a bet on you ? You said they know each other.
Try to have a more rigid attitude and don't respond their smiles anymore, ignore them.

They probably want something from you, but it doesn't necesarilly have to be sex.
Could also be a bet, if they are in the same sorority.

get over it. they are children and you are an adult---read your university bylaws and policies about harrassment and consensual relationships in the university.
a night of fun, or losing a career....tough choice I guess
