when he says all gay people should die and rot in hell etc......
He and his followers turn up at US Soldiers funerals saying that there is a war because gay people exist and 9/11 was Gods punishment for the world tolerating gay people. He also celebrates the brutal killing of Matthew Shephard, he was 21yrs old and murdered by 2 men. Matthew was brutally beaten then strung up on a fence left to die. Is it any wonder gay people dont believe in religion? Would just like to see how many religious people agree with him

Oh and yes I do know there is a religious Christian movement for gay people, but I'd be a hypocrite to join it.

There are several generalized statements made in your question. I mean all religious people covers a very broad area. They don't even agree on a same god....much less have the same opinion on one subject. Also you make it sound like all gay persons are not religious. I don't think that is entirely true either.

With that said....I just want to say that I am religious and I do NOT believe that gay people should die and rot in hell as you put it. Why would I think or believe such a thing? I do not agree with that lifestyle, but I do not wish people harm or have any bad feelings about them if that is what they choose.

The Phelps are shining examples of what examining the bible can do to people. If God's will have been sparkling and examining the Bible solutions questions for people, there does not be maximum of variations of Christianity. The Phelps particularly have faith interior the detest they're spouting. If any Christian have been to concentration on OT text cloth and prophesy it may be hassle-free to work out how this hate evolves. examining Leviticus or Ezekiel and believing and residing the proclamations there could create Phelp like religions. in actuality that's what the middle a while have been all approximately. The Bible may be risky.

Pretty much every religious person agrees with him - that's why gays and lesbians are forced to live in secrecy in the US. Remember when we all got together after church and smashed the windows of all the gay bookstores and bars, and burned down the gay neighborhoods? That was a fun night for the whole family. And if gays were accepted by religious people (who make up the vast majority of the US) then there would be all sorts of pro-gay TV programs - thank the Lord there are not, or we might have shows with titles like "Will and Grace," "Queer as Folk," "The L Word" and others polluting the airwaves...

He also believe that anyone that isn't a member of his church is going to Hell, that includes any Christian church parishoner besides those that go to his church. The only people that go to his "church" are his family members. So, it stands to reason that other religious people don't agree with him. He is an idiot and an attention seeker.

Phelps and people like him really need to read the story about Jesus stepping between the adulteress woman and the mob about to stone her to death. "He who is without sin, cast the first stone."

Now, that doesn't mean I beleive homosexuality to be a sin. Its just a point that Christian fundamentalists often don't practice what is stated in the Bible. I am not a Christian, but I do agree with the basic teachings of Jesus. I don't like intolerant people like Phelps. But, I also despise intolerant people like those that call all Christians "creeps." Intolerance is ignorant, no matter what your religious or political affiliation happens to be.

God is a God of Love and Peace. There are those that use religion to promote their hate. If we shut them up using violence, then we are no better than they.

I Corinthians 6:9-11 Or don't you know that the unrighteous will not inherit the Kingdom of God? Don't be deceived. Neither the sexually immoral, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor male prostitutes, nor homosexuals, nor thieves, nor covetous, nor drunkards, nor slanderers, nor extortioners, will inherit the Kingdom of God. Such were some of you, but you were washed. But you were sanctified. But you were justified in the name of the Lord Jesus, and in the Spirit of our God.

i have many gay friends and as long as they do not try to force their way of life on me why should i force my way of life on them. see no reason why their should be a big controversy about the sexual status in this or any other country. THE DEITY made everyone in THEIR IMAGE not just a certain particular group or skin color. we who are tolerant must be tolerant of those who are not.

the closest that man has gotten to a bible and actually read it is about as close as I've come to jumping from the space station to try and break the worlds free fall record.

So your not going to find many people that agree with that moronic pig.
