When I look at what it happening all around the world, even if Muslims want to speak out against violence (whether that be in a marriage, their own country or another country etc), they can't because they or their family will get hurt or killed.
Is the religion so flawed that they need to make them be physically scared?

These goes for all holy references
Many failed to see the true side of the scriptures
what they've been reading are actually the words of the author/translator which are mostly re-written to make the most sense of it which ended up confusing many readers instead
scholars,preachers,priest,religious teachers,ministers are still unable to give answers so collective assumption made
there's a scripture in the koran which warns these religious leaders that they'll be the first to be interrogated and be thrown into the pit for their preachings in their lifetime
there's one too that says
those leaders who preach by putting fear/scary tactics to their followers are actually followers of satan
so brother,
let us not trust to any saying based on popularity or blindly following.
let us not fault finding others
it's time to seriously look deeply into it ourselves cause no one is to be blamed or would take responsible for any of our wrong doings except our ownself

In Islam fear is instilled to tell us not to stray from the straight path and harm anyone be it muslim or non muslim
And by the way if Jesus was God he wouldnt let himself be crucified.....

I have never seen bravery in any religion as I have in Islam. Boys facing military tanks armed with nothing but stones in their hands. Mothers fighting with armed military asking them to release their sons.
You guys just run to shelters and have been fearful your whole lives. Upon landing in the land called America, you killed the natives that you thought were gonna kill you. Then when slavery was no more, you don't let them (the black) have guns cos they might just kill you.

Its not instilling fear its called teaching how to be sensitive towards others feelings, for you considering the feelings of family & friends might be considered instilling fear we like to care about our families & those around us not just trample over thier feelings for our personal feelings.

I'm Muslim and I don't think so! my religion never makes me scare, it gives me whatever I want. May be unmuslim people are afraid of islam, but that's because of wrong advertising of their governments. And also those Muslims who are scared probably, that's because of the limits that those governments has imposed on them.

Hrm ... last I noticed, most monotheistic religions work that way.
I'd say what you're worried about is more a function of culture than religion. Most American Muslims don't seem to be stoning wives and daughters.

False religions lead to eternal death. Jesus Christ is God. Period. Religions that reject Jesus Christ as God are false religions in doctrine and practice. The honest at heart must be warned of their danger in being a part of a false religion. "Babylon is fallen, is fallen, come out of her my people".
