What is the difference between the two and how do they work together?
Where is any proof of this? Faith, physical, biblical or otherwise?

I've never met a Christian with the integrity or intelligence to discuss "free will" without reverting to meaningless bias. They are rather pre-conceptual magical-thinkers.

When Christians eyes are on the cross, he is with God's ways and when it is off the cross than his focuss to his ways or the world's way. And S A Tan is there to confuse man to do his "free will" than "God's will".
Biblical ~~ Christians are to pray and to love their enemy (so one day their enemy will see God's will instead of their will be done).
Faith~~1st part substance of things hope for, 2nd part believing in things unseen.
Proof ~~ read the B-I-B-L-E (if done in history style than its man's will -- if done in His Story than its God's will)
Happy Reading.

You can read examples in the books of Moses. People cycle in and out. When Christians aren't living for God, it is called backsliding.
Take an alcoholic. He may be sober for a year and then fall back to drinking. This would be going from God's will to mans will.

Free will: Man can do whatever he chooses to do
God's will: To do what God want man to do; obey the 10 commandments

Proof: Everyday life. If you believe in Jesus Christ, you're a christian whether you're muslim, catholic, a jehova's wittness, etc. Yeah, people try to do right (God's will), but sometimes they mess up and mistakes happen (Free will). But when most people realize the mistake they have made, they try to go back and fix it if they can, try to learn from that experience and do right.

Since religion is basically absurd, believers just switch back and forth as required whenever confronted with rational thinking.

I'n not quite sure what you are asking here, but I'll give it a shot.

God designed us and the world we live in for a purpose; to have someone to share His love.

He is the Creator and, as such, He gets to make the rules of existence. This is His Will. He expects us to follow His plan and design.

Man is a created being, designed by God with a free will. God wants us to choose to follow Him. He is not satisfied with mindless automatons, He wants our WILLING obedience, the expression of our love for Him.

When we choose to follow God's plan, order exists. When we choose to stray from God's plan, chaos exists.

Man, by the exercise of his free will, frequently and commonly chooses sin, chaos over order. Man suffers and the world, man's collective, suffers. Chaos rules.

When man chooses to turn from his selfish desires (sin) and decides to return to God's plan, order begins to be restored in that one person's life; not immediately and the consequences of his former choices remain, but his life begins to take on a new existence, a new "flavor". He is "born again".

Mankind deserves punishment from God for the disobedience that exists in the world as a whole. That's what happened with the flood of Noah. The slate (the world) was wiped clean and eight people started anew.

God promised that He would never again destroy mankind with a flood. He began a different kind of plan for us.

Knowing that mankind would once again turn from Him and choose sinful disobedience, and knowing that He could not stand for wholesale disobedience in His creations, He decided to send His Son, Jesus, to be a one time sacrifice for our sin.

Those who choose Jesus choose God and are "born again". They are imbued with a new spirit, the Holy Spirit of God, to act as a guide to righteous living. They have the Holy Bible to serve as a "users manual" for orderly living unders God's desire and plan of existence.

But man is still a sinful creature in the flesh and occassionaly even those who are "born again" choose the old way of self and sin anew. The struggle for rightoeusness (right living) continues but this time with God's helping hand.

Those who choose NOT to receive God's saving grace, Jesus, continue to wallow in chaos.

Choose God.

There's no "jumping back and forth" between the two.
It's man's will to follow God's laws or not. It's God's will that we follow him but He leaves it up to us. Therefore, it's our will to follow or not.

It's an easy thing to do.

We are human's and created as such. God's will is sinless. Man's will is sin. They aren't together in any way.

Peace be with you.

Free will is that which man has control over, war, crime, reckless driving... etc.

God's will is that which man has no control over, storms, freak accidents, etc...
