Should we not all look forward to death?
If we believe in Gods promise, why would we not want to die?

ROFLMAO
We from birth are dieing!
For many death is just an awaking.

Death where is thy sting!

May God bless you and keep you.
May he send his angels unto you.
May he take you aware, and in peace.
amen!

Well, I took a class in college, called death and dying... The professor came in every day and said, "what a great day to die". Most of the class thought he was nuts. I was on a plane once, that was struck by lightning. The power went out, a guy had a heart attack in the back rows, etc. The woman next to me was very calm, reading the Bible, and said it best. She said, I don't understand why people, have not accepted their own mortality. I think death should be looked upon as a new beginning, not an end. We fear the unexplained, the unknown. In true faith, there should be no fear, however, we have a long way to over come human nature...

According to Islam, we should think of death as a friend who is coming to meet us. Death should not be feared because we must all die some day. God dislikes people to be afraid of death. If you look forward to it (but not provoke it) then you are blessed by God.

I just hope you be live in One God so you will be safe after death.

It is also best to believe that Muhammad is the Last Messenger of God. Then you will be met with a very friendly and peaceful death.

peace be with you.

Concisely, God says death is an enemy. God doesn't want people to die but sin is the wages of death. No, we don't have to look forward to death because God purposed mankind to have life.
But Satan in the Garden of Eden messed it up and got Adam and Eve to decide they wanted to sin and thus imperfection was passed on to their offspring (that is us) so we all die.
God will change this and restore life on a paradise Earth for this righteous meek ones who want to follow and obey God for the undeserved salvation offered in the name of Jesus Christ's sacrifice and faithful mankind will inherit the earth and live forever on it.
Death leads only to the grave where we no longer feel or think and we do nothing because we no longer exist with life. We are just dead and become dust. Not much to look forward to but Jehovah God offers a resurrection to eternal life, now that is something I do want.
Dead people do not seperate into a burning hell or heaven they are just dead. God will resurrect those to either to eternal life or to a judgement of final destruction (second death) where they cease to exist. Look forward to the Day Of Jehovah at Armageddon.

I think people are afraid of dying becuase no one knows for certain what lays beyond their time on earth some people choose to belive like yourself in god and what is promised beyond death there is nothing wrong with that. Alot of people associate dying with pain and the grief of loosing the ones they love and would rather not think about it. You know you are dying and you have accepted that which is commendable of you if someone is upset at you for this that is there problem, after all no one lives for ever!

We r all dying second by second and everyone should prepare for death. Wasn't that the ultimate teaching that our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ was trying to teach us at the cross? Death is but a step to eternal life what u do to prepare for ur ultimate leave of this world is between u and God eventually, so go on my brother be at peace prepare for the better things that r promised to us all. Men understand what they want to understand. Amen.

promise of heaven is great to look forward to. But you gotta live your life while you have it here on Earth.
When you say it like that, it sounds like you are depressed and dont want to be alive anymore, thats all.
But if you are just saying it because you cant wait to go to heaven then I can understand that. When you say you await death, also add because of the promise of heaven. See ya there someday!

Just as certain supposed atheists consider the "what if god really is in charge of the whole shabang?" on their deathbeds, those who believe in God can't help but wonder, "What if God's not up there or doesn't have the power to forgive my sins, I don't want to be held responsible for my actions!!!!"

But for some there is indifference in death. Death will come to pass just as life will, but only to begin anew.

Because no one knows what to expect. Not everyone has a belief, so they don't even have that. People fear it because death is so final, there are no second chances and theres no get out clause.

We are all dying even if we're not ill. Every day is one step closer to our own death.

Have you given up all hope? Is your life meaningless and empty? God intends that you live for him and that means being productive for his kingdom. He does not want people sitting around waiting to die---he wants you to live with meaning. There are many Christians like you who are throwing away their reward in heaven because they choose to be idle when they should be active. Think of something that you can do for God and then busy yourself with it. You will enjoy it and find new meaning to life. You will also be securing your reward in heaven.
