I don't believe in God, but I believe in a creator. Just as I believe in a destroyer who will take it all in the end. It may not be the answer you were looking for, and it won't get me the ten points since you only wanted someone to bolster your own views. Not trying to be rude, just pointing out what you said.
If someone tells me a tree was planted 150 years ago, I ask for a date. I actually ask for proof because I'm a smartass, I'll admit to that. But its only because I want to understand how people know that because I understand they're fallible.
For all we know, we could be a giant scientific experiment for aliens. Its no less plausible to a creator. Some things are not meant to be known by us, not yet.

What you see is not as real as God. What you see should prove to you there is a God. If you try to tell me we just became without a Creator then you need to go rethink some things. Ask any athiest how the whole universe came to exist and I mean every galaxy, planet and star, also the ones still being created. Ask how the earth has one set speed it is to turn and one set speed to rotate around the sun. Also the sun is just at the right distance for life to be sustained here on earth which includes billions of diverse lifeforms (That according to athiests just popped out of nowhere or crawled out of the Ocean). Is it all just coincedence? Also ask them to get an empty mason jar and set it in their house somewhere and go back to the jar 20 or 30 years later or more if needed and see whats in it..........you know what would be in it? Still nothing. You have to have a Creator and it upsets the athiests. Also, it's easy for anyone to call themselves an athiest when life is good and you have your health but there is coming a day when death will be knocking at your door and that's when you see just how much of an athiest they really are.
Also for the big bang theory supporters........where did the material that went bang come from and the energy to make it go BANG? I'll tell you, God created it and he may have made a "BIG BANG" out of it to put it where he wanted it I won't dispute that because the Universe is still expanding. For evolution supporters, your still missing the "link" and you'll never find it. If you come up with a fossil of a man with gills and webbed feet, then we will discuss some issues but I'm sure your "missing link" will always be missing. All in all the athiests have too many questians to answer themselves that the Bible already explains. I'd rather believe there is a God and die and if there isn't I will then lose nothing but if there is a God and Creator and I've argued to people he isn't then I lose alot. Think it over friend. Are you really sure about denying God? The evidence is against you. The Bible, the only Holy written word of God explains all things past, present and future. There is no excuse for not having the knowledge, it's there. Stop being a God-fighter and throw off your prejudice and pride and do some research. You athiests just make yourselves appear ignorant with all this God bashing you do on here, especially when it's obvious you haven't a clue to what your talking about. For people who claim atheism you people are obsessed with talking about and bashing CHRISTIANS and GOD. I almost guarantee you don't even know why you claim to be athiest. Is it for attention? Like I mentioned before, go study and learn some things then come back, you have to come up with an answer of "how something can appear out of nothing" and "a fossil or remains of a half man-half fish" right after he slimed his way onto land. If you going to promote being an "athiest" I would at least lay down some facts to why.........no theories please.

All humans are by nature spiritual. We all wonder about our origins and what existence means. Some people choose superstition and magical-thinking and easy answers to explain everything. But, fortunately for all of us, some people have always continued the honest exploration of the world without needing easy "right now" answers. We explore the world around us and we learn and we change. We know that we have much more to learn, and, that we have much more to grow to be able to really understand what the world is. Anyone who thinks that they have any answers, yet, about what/how/who created this world is as absurd as an ant crawling across a page of Mozart's music, thinking it knows what all those black marks on the page mean. Recent research in the Netherlands found that the brainwave we humans emit that is most like the electromagnetic "frequency", so to say, of the universe is the brainwave we emit when we feel compassion. That says more to me about God than anything any Christian has ever preached to me about goodness.

In the beginning, life from darkness evolved to light. To make a long story short, Earth was a pool of cells which evolves into different things. Life constantly changes to constantly live. This goes for all things living. Nature is God. We are here to live and let live, keeping balance in order. If this is interfered, then that would be apocalypse. So, humans are given the resposibility to continue life, otherwise we go like the death of the dinosaurs. Nature would just wipe us out and construct new soliders. Her finest work is the Human species. We are the only lifeforms that have such a powerfull brain. That's our tool and our gift. Think about this carefully and compare it to Christianity. You will find that one of them is a metaphor which both can be taken as truth. I know some people has to have faith in something else other than themselves to get them through the day or whenever.

Yowza!!!! So many harsh answers to an honest question......
This is to all the people who answered with the Big Bang theory and evolution crap.... Big bang says that everything came from cells and organisms colliding, creating an explosion and wallah!!!! here we are....If this is true, where did those cells and organisms come from????? As for evolution??? You gotta be kidding me right??? If we evolved from monkeys, fish, etc, then why do we still have those animals today??? And just to inform all the evolutionists...Guess what??? Your own Charles Darwin was a christian. He wrote "Origin of the Species" after his daughter died from a serious illness because he was angry and bitter at God and could not accept God's will for his daughter. SO....??????
And for the person who answered with I don't believe because I can't see him..... What a bunch of crap!!!! If you have a tree in your backyard and someone tells you it is 150 years old you believe them. Even though you weren't alive 150 years ago. You have no actual first hand witnessing that this is truth. You can have someone come out and test it, but then you are going off what science says, and let's face it, science can be tampered with.
So, if you can take someone's word for how old a tree is and not seeing it for yourself, then why can't you take someone's word for it when they tell you that there is a God, Creator of all things, Saviour of the world, without seeing it for yourself?????

Explain to me WHY God is there! And why is he creating all these things? Explaining some unknown with another unknown is not an explanation. See the book "Why I am not a Christian" by Bertrand Russell.
The simple answer is we don't know the answers to those questions. But it is so difficult for humans to accept that there are some things we don't know, and there are so many charlatans who want to provide easy answers, and control other people's minds to their advantage. That includes all religions, and some scientists.

Complexity arises from simplicity. Look up "self organizing complex systems". Self-sorting. Dynamic elements of nature interacting in acordance with simple natural laws... physics... chemistry... biology.
The foolishness that serves you as a substitute for logic and reason is a logical fallacy (a flaw in thinking) known as the "Argument From Incredulity"... which is a sub-category of the "Argumentum ad Ignorantiam" (Argument From Ignorance). It goes something like this: "I can't conceive of how this might have come to be; therefore, God did it."
That does not point to a limitation of nature... rather, it exemplifies a limitation of knowledge or intellect. Also, it is intellectually dishonest, since it does not ACKNOWLEDGE the limitation of knowledge or intellect... it merely invokes the fanciful idea of a supernatural creator-entity to manifest the ILLUSION that cognitive dissonance has been resolved. It substitutes 'faith' for fact, and 'belief' for knowledge... but neither faith nor belief are sufficient to sustain reason... they are only sufficient to sustain willful ignorance.
That is the epitome of self-delusion.
"When one person suffers from a delusion, it is called insanity. When many people suffer from a delusion it is called Religion." ~ Robert M. Pirsig

Because they evolved from the simplest single cell organisms millions of years ago. With all the fossil and genetic evidence I think that this idea holds more water than some invisible all powerful being clicking it's fingers and making everything appear...
But then thats just me.... logical and with a brain capable of rational thought and belief based on evidence - kinda crazy I know!!!

Explain why?
Scientists can explain how (pretty much). If there is a God then he obviously doesn't give a damn about us because good things happen to bad people and vice versa every single day on earth.
I believe in mathematics and love...that's enough for me.

Simple.
Random things are not symmetrical!
In other words, after the big bang happened, things just proceeded as one expects... y'know, stars orbit in their galaxies, the universe expands, life appears on earth. That kinda stuff.
