She is a first cousin twice removed. Where there is a difference in the generations between cousins, then the first/second etc part identifies how many generations back the common ancestor is from the closest descendant, in this case you. Since the common ancestor is one of your grandparents, that makes you first cousins. The "removed" part identifies how many additional generations of difference there are between you - since this is your first cousin's grandchild, then there are two generations, so the baby is your first cousin twice removed. Your cousin's child is of course your first cousin once removed. If you had a child, he or she would be a second cousin to your cousin's child, and the baby would be a second cousin once removed.

Well you know what - i just asked myself the same thing! You see my cousin "beverly" has already had a daughter called millie, and now she's just had a son called "barney" (dont ask me why they called him that!!) and i was unsure as to how i would be related to them both. After thinking about it and ofcourse looking at numerous different answers on this page, Your cousins child, to you, is your second cousin, with your first cousin being the mother and your second cousin being the child and so on, same goes for if she had another; that would be your third cousin, and fourth etc.
I hope that helped you!

geshh I cant believe so many people are saying your 2nd cousin. Your cousin is your First, the cousin's child is your second, then your cousin's childs baby would make your 3rd.

if it is your 1st cousin's child's baby it would be your 3rd cousin twice removed because it is the 3rd generation and it is 2 generations from you. it would be your grandchild's third cousin, and your child's third cousin once removed.

Your first cousins would be your parents' brother's/sister's child, your second cousins would be your 1st cousin's children, and your 2nd cousin's child would be your third cousin...hope that helps and isn't confusing.
