Slumber party, munchies, videos, music, privacy , no boys,
what more would a 13 year old want?
Ask your daughter what she really wants to do, she is old enough to understand about budgets etc.
She'll have a ball!

When my second youngest daughter turned 13 I told her she could invite every girl in her class for a sleep over. About 16 turned up on the day. They all stood around the kitchen table and made their own pizza for dinner. I had the pizza bases and 6 or 7 different toppings already prepared. There were lots of munchies and Coke etc. for during the night. They had movies to watch, made up their own games, sat up and told horror storys and screamed literally all night. That was 15 years ago, and even now if I run into one of the girls that was at the party, they STILL talk about what a great time they had!

I also have daughter of 3 yrs & $ 200/- is enough for me here in India to Give a decent birthday Party to 40 - 50 Persons & everyone Coming bring Gifts & on the End she might have different Gifts Worth Around $ 150 - 200 & party for FREE.

Alternate is give Tea Party to her 4 friends this will Cost around $25 - 50 & buy her a Gold Item from the balance as Gold will be useful for Her in the days to come.

It is both money Spent & money saved / invested for growth.

May God give her happiness she deserves.

1 take the girls out , not to the pictures but some where nice .they are not to old to get out and enjoy a beach a park or even a public swimming pool .

2 Bring them home . Make fairy cakes , by lollies , party pies sausage rolls, Frankfurt's .

3 don't forget the birthday cake .

4 let the girls have some wind down time , and treat them to one or two DVDs .

5 optional but girls , and boys always enjoy a sleep over

good luck

I gave my daughter a choice when she became 13 yrs old. I asked her- Daughter, I have only so much money to spend on ur birthday. Now, you have a choice. Do you want me to give u a nice birthday party or do u want me to spend the money for you to go shopping. She answered me- Forget the party mom, lets go shopping. So I took her on a small road trip for the weekend and we shopped for her. She loved it!!

This is advice coming from a single mom in Toronto, Canada

I took my 13 year old and her 4 friends to the mall. I called ahead of time to the make up counters at Macy's and found three ladies that were willing to do little mini-makeovers on ALL 4 GIRLS, for free, if I agreed to buy one product for myself! No problem! The counters that agreed to do it were Origins, MAC and Clinique, I didn't call them all but I imagine any of them would do it if you were honest and nice about it. I ended up with both the make up artists at Origins working on them and they had as much fun as the girls. Like one of them said, "Building future customers.. :)"

So all 4 got make-up jobs, had an absolute ball, and I bought a $30 lipstick, it was great. I bought them all lunch and turned them loose to shop for an hour with a $20 bill each, they had a blast and I was out about $130.

the best EVER party would be a suprise party, get the other 4 girls to hide in one of the rooms, and when your daughter gets back,SUPRISE!!
and you can just order an ice-cream cake which costs around 20 quid around here,
or order pizza and just make it a really chill-out party with some ofher closest friends,
after bring them all out for shopping and get her to pick her fav present or take sticky pictures with her friends.
sounds good to me!!!
and afterwards, sleepover!!!with chocolates and snacks while watching a click-flick!

$200 is hardly a limited budget for a birthday party - count your blessings.

I've managed some of my kids' past birthdays on $20, so consider yourself blessed.

Do a sleep over and get someone in to give them a make over. Or even do the make over yourself for all of them. Make up and hair they would love it my daughter did
