It means only that God, if he exists, doesn't care of human beings.
In my opinion it means that there is no God, there is only chance, some of us are lucky, some are not.
Life is a big lottery in which everybody hope to win but as in all lotteries if some win, some must lose.
Our only hope to avoid this kind of disaster is to believe in Mankind instead of God because most crimes are done on behalf of God.
But we'll never win against the Death unless we live each second of our life fully as if it was the last one.
So even if our life is short it will last forever whatever could happen to us. Good people's lives will last forever as a strong light in the darkness whereas bad people' s lives will last forever as a shame and a black shadow.
Most lives doesn't last, they are only the material of the battle between Good an Evil.

Depends on what you believe in. If you believe in God then clearly God will be the deciding factor. But if you don't, then it's pretty much Darwins theory. Survival of the fittest....whoever is best adapted to run, jump and push their way out of the building

1Timothy2:3,4 tells us - "This is fine and acceptable in the sight of our Savior,God,whose will is that all sorts of men should be saved and come to an accurate knowledge of truth."
It was never God's will for mankind to suffer and die.
The first human pair were created perfect and designed to live forever. They chose to rebell against Jehovah God's instruction for them, and as a result of that sin they lost the gift of everlasting life. They started to grow old and eventually died.As offspring of Adam and Eve we too all get sick, age and eventually die.
Through the shed blood of Jehovah's son,Jesus,we have the opportunity to regain the opportunity of eternal life,by taking in accurate knowlege of the Bible and exercising our faith by speaking to others about it.
There are two more reasons why there is so much pain and suffering, wickedness and inhumanity on the earth.
Firstly,Adam and Eve by their rejection of God's law, they took Satan's side and felt they didn't need their Creator guideing them. They wanted to govern themselves. So to settle the issue raised by Satan,God is allowing sufficent time to settle this issue once and for all.
Secondly, the Bible tells us at Rev.12:7-9 that there was a war in heaven and Satan and his demons were thrown out of heaven to the vicinity of the earth.2Cor4:4 describes Satan as "the god of this system".So the whole world is lying in the power of the wicked one(1John5:19)
But the Bible holds out a wonderful promise. Our Heavenly Father will step in and rid the earth of wickedness and the earth will once again be restored to a paradise where righteous and obedient worshippers will reside (Ps.37:9-11,29;Pr.2:21
;Rev.21:3,4;Dan.2:44)

Well, as an atheist who was once a christian, I would say yes. Purely because of the fact that to suffer in this life, supposedly gives the "saved" the same in the afterlife in the form of bliss. So, the more a christian suffers in this life, the better their afterlife will be. Most christians conveniently "forget" this part of their doctrine to allow for happiness, wealth and material gain here on Earth.
It always makes me laugh to myself when I see "christians" exalting the happiness and peace they get from their religion - it shows they have either not read their bible, or did not understand a word of it!

It may not have been God's will but people's pasts do catch up with them.Ok.Well,maybe that was like their last chance to choose God or the devil and that was just the situation to bring it to their attention.

No. The will of God is life, not death. The will of God is love, not hatred. The will of God is light, not darkness. The will of God is freedom, not bondage. The will of God is happiness, not sadness. Whatever happens to us now is our will in the past. Look well, therefore, today for tomorrow. If you don't look well today, do not blame God tomorrow.

It is not God's will for good people to perish in buring building are anywhere else. But as God has given mankind a "free will", that is the ability to make his own decisions and live with the consequences, things happen that are NOT God's will. Why would He have instructed His followers to pray "Thou will be done on earth as it is in heaven" if everything that happened was automatically his will and we had no part in it?
God did what He could to stop 9/11. I have a relative who was warned in her prayertime that morning not to go to the WTC. She was smart enough to listen. How many others were warned that we never hear about? How many in the building were warned and did not listen? How many never prayed and so had no chance to be warned? How many times did people fail to act on information that could have prevented 9/11? (Not blaming, just asking). How many people choose not to leave the second tower after the first was hit?
Because of sin, tragedies and disasters happen. They will continue to happen as long as even one person has not had the sinful nature in them reborn. God has done his part in providing the remedy for sin at the cross of Christ. If men reject it, what is He to do?
Force conversion on them? (Look at all the complaints about Christians trying to force their religion on everyone. But that God is blamed when He doesn't do that.)
Strike them all dead? (Look at all the complaints posted daily on here about "Evil" and "desturctive" God is because he kills people. Yet God is blamed when he doesn't do that.)
While there are things that can and do happen against the will of God, He has also provided us with prayer - so that we can know His will and avoid problems and disasters, and be his agents to save others. When disasters like 9/11 happen, it is usually a failure, not on the part of will of God, but of His people and their refusal to pray and obey.

It's the same thing as asking "Why does God allow airplane crashes? Why does God allow fatal car crashes? Why does God allow war?" Did God make the buildings, airplanes, or cars? As far as war, I truly believe he did'nt intend for us to kill each other.

If it's God will for 60 million people to die in a world war, and millions per year due to shortage of food and medicines, he surely can't have too many objections to just a burning building.
