Yes! After successful completion of course, I was given a certificate! And, yes: I have gained from what I learned in the NLP course. Improvement always needs some effort: NLP helps you to make the efforts more intelligently, with better understanding of your own efforts and the direction the efforts should take! It is possible to take a view that NLP is a segment of Behavioral Science, rather the application part of it! It helps communications and interpersonal interaction, and contributes to personality development.

I went on a course, really enjoyed the 1st few sessions - focused on the psychology of communication/body language etc; But after that it went all weird - had to use lots of visualisation techiques - 'shrinking' a picture of your problem in you mind's eye to the size of a postage stamp etc. Found all that totally impossible, as previous sessions had identified that I am not a 'visual thinker' but an 'auditory thinker'! So shrinking and visualisation not good for me - not sure if rubbish tutor though - ? she should have been giving techniques all types of thinkers can draw upon.

I think it can help you in any walk of life. It deconstructs the language you use, and what you are hearing.. v helpful in sales and in man management. Plenty of knowledge about body language, what parts of your language are being effective, detecting receptivity in other people... Go for it!
