In Victorian schools, each child was placed in a class according to their ability. Top, middle or bottom. Now the top and middle classes were allowed to sit on chairs, but as the bottom class were seen as a less worthy recipient of a chair, they had to sit with their bums on the floor. This was known as sitting on your bottom.
I'm not won over by the "botakus" nonsense.

even as my guy and that i first began courting, he had a set of female friends that would want to call him, i replaced into VERY Jealous, yet in spite of the reality that, I have trust themes too (too many adult men have cheated on me). Now, that our relationship has matured he has placed an end to the ladies calling. after we bypass out, it truly is okay for him to verify with different ladies, cuz i'm proper there with him, and he doesn the sweetest little issues, like continuously shop him arm round me or retaining my hand or holding a minimum of a hand on my back, so as that even in spite of the reality that he's chatting with a distinct chick he remains making it more desirable than obtrusive that he's "unavailable". i actually imagine he does this more desirable for my convenience than something else. It means plenty to me that he's taking care and interest into my fears and insecurities and does issues intentionaly to objective to assuage them.

There is a hierarchy in human body. Clean and intelligent on top(Your brain) to filthy and unintelligent at bottom(your butt).Hence the word bottom. All other organs in between are in the same hierarchy less intelligent than brain and cleaner than the butt.

I assume you meant to say, "...middle of your body."
Well, the derivation of the English word bottom came from the early Latin word Botakus which meant hind quarter, or backside. Naturally after making reference to such a sensitive part of the anatomy, people usually paused for a moment in their dialog after saying the word Botakus. Country folk filled speech gaps with the sounds "ah", "er", and "um."
The phrase "... Botakus - er", and Botakus - ah", and Botakus - um" thus became fairly common in the midst of sentences. As usual, the word and the pause filled with a human sound became slurred together, and the most popular, "...Botakus - um" became "bottum", and later after the scribes got ahold of the word, it was rewritten as "bottom."
Would you prefer to swap the word bottom for foot?

your bottom side. it doesn't mean your feet because someone, somewhere, seen it fit that when you stoop to kneel or sit, it is your bottom side. the bottom side of your feet, is the very bottom
of your body, but, someone used it to kick what they called the bottom side of the other person, and bacause, they raised their foot up higher than the middle of your body, it was then that your butt was considered your bottom. no truthfully it is the bottom side, your legs are your bodies lower limbs...
