Advent is a subsidiary of Audiovox, which is a pretty good company for cell phones, but not known for cameras. I think it's worth a try, let us know how it works!

very likely rubbish. Although the camera is probably made by someone else.
If you really want a good digital camera- stick with the major players.
Canon, Fuji, Panasonic, Sony are making some of the best.
Also good are:
Kodak, Olympus, Nikon, Pentax, HP, Casio.
you get what you pay for, generally, but Sony and Canon tend to get a premium for their name brand.

Most likely junk. Having Audiovox as a parent company is not exactly the best recommendation. Audiovox is middle of the road quality, at best.
