To clarify, as a Muslim i know that it is not necessary for a Muslim woman to cover her face. This is actually a cultural phenomena.
It is only required that the hair is covered. This could be a scarf or anything else that's pretty.
So next time you see a Muslim woman wearing the Burkah (full length gown which also covers the face) please remember that this is a part of her culture and not her faith.

hellooooo you are corrupted by the media and others...in Islam woman are allow to show their face if not how are you going to know who you talking to. as Islam is founded in middle east so some people thought that any thing had to do with the arab is good but actually not only the woman but the man in the middle east do cover their face to protect them from the sand storm and the sun and the arabs are well known for their attitude toward woman so to better protect the woman it is better for them to cover themselves.God bless them

it's not a rule of course.i am a muslim and i don't use yashmak.and some muslims say me:you look like a christian.the reason is my clothes.but in our religion clothes aren't very important for me.the important point is to believe in god and his prophets.

firstly some shaikhs say that the woman doesn't have to cover the face and hands.and the other shaikhs says she does.but both opinions are correct because they both support their rulings on evidence

the restriction is not on covering the face... it the hair and the body... face should not be covered except by personal choice.
