1 Corinthians 11:6; "If a woman will not wear a veil, let her also cut off her hair. But since it is a dishonor to a woman to have her hair cut off or her head shaved, let her wear a veil."
The way I read it, a woman should shave her head or wear a veil (when she prey).
Luckily I don't believe that the bible is a rulebook that everyone has to follow.

First you have to know what kind of covering this verse is talking about, It is not thse things Muslims use, But a woman's covering is her HAIR, & yes My wife do follow this verse, she has long hair, Now to answer some other thoughts that some may come up with this verse, many has asked is it wrong for a woman to cut her hair, & how long should it be, & so on & so on. Now the answer to your question is YES. Now how long should a woman hair be, We have to realize that every woman can not grow very long hair, In counties like Afica, many black woman can not grow very long hair. & even here in the USA it is the same. So first we have to consider that not all woman can grow the same lenght of hair, My wife hair is almost down to her waist, Can she cut her hair, YES, but she has enough C/S (common sense) to know what is reasonable, Now for a woman to cut her hair as short as a man, Then that is wrong. & the same with a man, if he lets his hair grow out too long. We have to see that not all woman can grow long hair, shoulder lenght hair to some woman is long enough, But let's not condem the Sisters that can not grow long hair like some woman can. We can tell if their hair is too short. & what their motive behind it was to cut it too short. I hope This has answered many questions. Oh yes, I am A Chriatain & so are my Wife. WE don't take a ruler & measure a woman's hair to see how many inches or feet it is.

Corinthians is a letter written by Paul to a church in Corinth about 1,000 years ago. The rules were for them because they were having specific problems. Paul isn't Christ. Paul was helping develop rules for the early church.

If you read the entire chapter, Paul explains that a woman's hair is her covering. So a woman should not pray with her head shaved. It is not talking about placing a piece of cloth over the face.

No, I don't, I have Mennonite friends who wear their hair in a severe little black cap and only take it off and undo their hair in front of close family and friends.. They have beautiful hair and follow the biblical rule.
There are so many dos and don'ts in the Bible. If John was the author of the rule, did he have the word of God? Jesus said, "Who so ever believeth in me shall enter the kingdom of heaven". He didn't say, " Sorry, lady, you aren't welcome because you didn't cover up your hair".

This looks to be more in the context for prayer. It says she dishonors her head, but this doesn't sound like law.
