It is a supernatural belief. Many Christians think so actually. The christain group DC Talk did an album titled Supernatural, let me quote some of the lyrics,
"God is there and he is watching
He tells me all is well (its supernatural)
God is there, theres no denying
Hes supernatural (its supernatural)
Supernatural"
The word supernatural does describe God.
From Dictionary.com,
"su‧per‧nat‧u‧ral  /ˌsupərˈnætʃərəl, -ˈnætʃrəl/ Pronunciation Key - Show Spelled Pronunciation[soo-per-nach-er-uhl, -nach-ruhl] Pronunciation Key - Show IPA Pronunciation

–adjective 1. of, pertaining to, or being above or beyond what is natural; unexplainable by natural law or phenomena; abnormal.
2. of, pertaining to, characteristic of, or attributed to God or a deity.
3. of a superlative degree; preternatural: a missile of supernatural speed.
4. of, pertaining to, or attributed to ghosts, goblins, or other unearthly beings; eerie; occult."
No many faithful would feel God is not on the same plain as us. I have never met a believer who feels that God is subject to the same physical or natural laws as the rest of the world. Many who believe in God don't like the word Supernatural because of they feel it is more of a hippy or new age term. They only think of ghosts and other things they regard as fake.

Under the common understanding of the word "supernatural", belief in God would correctly fit your description of a supernatural belief. The meaningful part of it seems to reside in the fact that we do not worship Superman, Spiderman, Plasticman, etc., but we worship God in verious ways.

I am curious why you spend so much time pondering such issues.

If you dont beleive in a god , then yes i guess you could classify it as a supernatural beleif, i dont think those of a religious persuasion will agree though.

Zahbudar i dont know how you could possibly classify any of these as supernatural, Superman, Spiderman, Plasticman (make beleive, is that what you meant?....). And not every worships a god, by the way and so that classification that you made is not applicable to everyone.

God is not a supernatural belief. Christianity or Judism is a FAITH based belief. While his powers are sorta supernatural in the end its ALL BASED ON FaITH!

Of course God, if he/she/it exists, is a supernatural being. Soime of the people answering this question would do well to go out and spend their social security money on a dictionary. They clearly don't understand the meaning of the word.
Of course, if he/she/it doesn't exist, then it's not supernatural but D.C. comic material.

God is wholly a supernatural belief, one that differs from other supernatural beliefs only in the degree to which it has been institutionalized.

God created us. He can operate in the supernatural. He created the universe from nothing. But we shouldn't be worshiping using new age philosophies.

The indian hindu tradition says "god is within you". And it is very true.

So belief in god is self-belief and not a supernatural belief.
