we should condemn such acts but i think our Govts should do that job. we are just civilians and laymen, all we can do is carry out rallies. the real task lies at the hands of the Govts. i think shameful acts were also carried out in the name of World wars or crusades or east india company or land lord systems. so we should all try to end these atrocities once and for all.

may be all Govts should look upto the Indonesian Govt that has more capabilities and credentials when it comes to getting hold of terrorists and executing them. for the full article, the link is provided for those who dont go a couple of steps ahead to get to know the thruth.

AN EXCERPT FROM THE ARTICLE.

"In contrast, the United States has secured only one conviction over the September 11 bombings and has instead chosen to hold hundreds of terrorism suspects indefinitely without trial in Afghanistan, Guantanamo Bay, and other unknown locations. In total, Indonesia has arrested and tried more than 30 militants from the Al-Qaeda-linked Jemaah Islamiyah regional network. Three key bombers are on death row awaiting execution."

When I was doing religious education in Year 10 we had a Muslim man come to our school to do a lecture on Islam. We were most surprised to find out that his first name was actually "Jihad."
He was actually hillarious and told us heaps of cool info about how the word "jihad" doesn't actually mean holy war at all...it means "striving."

We also learned that there are many similarities between Islam and Christianity, and that we worship the same God and that Abraham is in both the Bible and the Koran. Jesus is also recognised in the Koran, but as a Prophet, not as the Messiah.

So, in my opinion, yes...it is a shame that a murderous and despicable minority has contorted the true meaning of jihad - striving for the greater good and peace - for both Islam and Christianity. Both religions are beautiful and both Muslims and us Christians deserve free choice. This talk of Muslims being the demise of the free people of the world is ridiculous, as is the fundamentalists' belief that Christians are the infidels.

Everyone, no matter what their faith, has a right to freedom

I see nothing to celebrate in the deaths of almost 3000 innocent people, and the loss of freedom for an entire nation at the hands of fear mongers. America will never be the same. On 9/11/01 we lost our innocence for ever. If we are to condemn, let us condemn ourselves first for allowing this to happen. Next, let us condemn ourselves for not taking the appropriate action against the country that produced the terrorist to begin with---Saudi Arabia. This is because of oil politics, of which our President and Vice-President are heavily engaged in. Thirdly, let us take issue with ourselves for not becoming more self-sufficient in the energy and economic markets, selling our souls to the enemy to acquire those things that we do not need in the first place. And lastly, and only lastly, we can blame the terrorist and those who sponsor them. When we remove the plank from our own eye, then we can remove the speck from our enemy's eye.

People can remember that day all on their own with out it constantly flooding the TV sets and news. People also dont' realize that all of our government officials, and the owner of those towers were told the day before the attacks to stay home. They were not that merciful to all the rest of the workers of the twin towers who perrished on 9/11. You can't tell me that our government did not have a hand in those attacks. Only God knows and will deal with them for it.

I seriously doubt that anyone will ever forget 9/11 and the constantly made movies on it does not help those with their healing process. We all must move forward and stop looking backwards, because God wants us to look forward in order to move forward in life. Lot's wife look back and got turned into a pillar of salt. That was a good example of why we are to look and move forward in life.
God bless you

Great, great shame was placed on a lot of innocent people for a brutal act that far surpassed any single violet act by any other religious fanaticism. The innocent victims, the families of the victims, the innocent countrymen, the innocent Muslims, the children, the children, the children, God have Mercy on our children. What in your name has our generation done to our children. How much have we paid for the sins of our fathers, but worse, how much more will our children pay...God please have Mercy.

It's a day to mourn and remember the tragic loss of innocent lives - certainly not to celebrate.
