what is the normal grading system and what is the range of % that is follwed?

Most schools I have been in use this scale
A 100-90
B 89-80
C 79-70
D 69-60
F 59-below

it depends on where you are but an average grading scale may be a 7 point grading scale:
100-93- A
92-85- B
84-77-C
77-70-D
69&below- F

90-100 - A+
80-90 - A
70-80 - B+
60-70 - B
50-60 - C+
40-50 - C
30-40 - D+
20-30 - D
