Why is it so important to have love when you worship God as claimed in 1 Corinthians 13, even to the point of saying if you ar martyred and die but without love you are nothing and missed out on whats important.

Well,if you give up your body to be burned and have no love,your sacrifice is worthless.The opposite of love is hate and so if u have no love,then whet u've got id hate which God doesnt like and in the act of giving up your body to be burnt,even if it is for a friend or a good cause,God deems it as a waste....
I can go on and on but i think that you get my point.

Because God is Love. The only word in all languages that can describe God in one word is Love. God is Love! All other talents besides love will come to an end, except Love. Love continuous for ever and ever. Love Never fails, Hope and Faith will come to an end, but Only Love remains for ever. He who has no Love has nothing.
