I'm not sure what you're asking, but it's used just like a normal microwave, and the convection is used, primarily, to brown things. Convection is the cooking with hot air. You can, also, get( or used to be able to get) a microwave with a browning element. This was an electrical element that browned the meat( we couldn't quite get our minds around how a meat could be done if it was not brown).
I know this sounds silly, but just follow the directions, or if you are one of those people that have trouble with written instructions(not being mean-my son-in-law has that problem and he's one of the smartest people I know) just call where you bought it and have them explain it to you.
