Footballteams in most leagues have either bookies or online pokersites as sponsors, and even a few national teams have bookies as main sponsors.
The same goes for most major sports. Bicycling has a team named after the sponsor - UniBet.
Many championships, sports-series and single major sportevents have gambling-compnies as main sponsors and are named as such. An example is the world championships in Snooker - named 888.com after the poker-site.
There's no denying that the gaming industry are the current big spenders on the marketing-front.
