I have recently upgraded my Mobile to a Sony Ericsson K800i, and now want to sell my old Samsung D500.. I have looked around online and have seen that brand new some stores are still asking between £80-£120..

Do you think that asking £80 for my used is a bit expensive..?

Consider that it includes an Incar charger, the Instruction manual, and I have downloaded around 8 or so Games onto the phone.

Look on Ebay at the last minute ones for sale. That will give you an idea of what people are actually willing to pay for a used one.

In the end it is all about what the buyer is willing to pay.

The D500 is quite old now, and there are loads od 2nd hand phones about, as has been mentioned, you can either put it on Ebay, or use classified ads such as Loot. With Ebay the final price is determined by the buyer (unless you set a reserver £50 minimum) or you can used the classified and ask what ever you want, obviousky it will only sell if someone is willing to pay the price you ask.

Personally I don't know why people have to upgrade each year, the only people who gain are the networks and the phone manufacturers, keep you phone and get a reduction in your monthly charges.

I would say you may be able to sell it for around £50 street value at a push, even with all the stuff. Theres been so many new phones out since then and I sold mine about 9 months ago for £80, so try bringing the price down a bit. Plus I have to say that no one cares how many games you have downloaded to it and you should have an insruction manual as standard. If it is boxed and in mint condition you may be a ble to ask for a little more, the thing is, no one really wants them phones anymore and they sell brand new for £80, so a realistic figure would be £40. Sad I know, but its true. Good luck x

Have a look at a website called 'mopay'. Look for the phone you wish to sell and they give you an offer there and then. You can choose to sell or not. But at least it gives you an idea of how much to ask for it.
