Um the question you are asking is a bit stupid because accidents could happen anytime and anywhere . South korea 's enivronment is not same as Pakistan but there is floods there . I am not saying that korea is bad or anything ( I am korean) but you know what there isn't a SAFE PLACE IN THESE EARTH.

Really safe, only heard of a couple of bad things ever happening and never heard of any major crime in the town I live in. I have lived here for 2 years, and this town is bigger than where I come from by about 20 times. In my hometown Santa Claus was head of a gang of thieves. Here, nothing like that.

Yes. Probably safer than America. Civilians cannot carry guns, and even children as young as Age 10 routinely travel around Seoul without adult supervision.
This is not to say there are no dangers - don't venture alone into sketchy areas, don't provoke fights with drunken strangers, and exercise other standard caution. Enjoy!

even the city in korea is safer than america, but it does have occasional problems. unlike america, tho, if you read about them in the newspaper, it probobly will never actually happen to anyone you know. BUT- make sure you never go into loan money from anywhere other than a bank cuz there it is actually legal to terrorize your home if you owe that person $.

it one of the country that are safer that Europe and America. the Korean are very helpful and easy going yet hard working people. do not read to much in the newspaper cause most are only interested in making news only/ even both Korean are not in good term but they are still brothers and are better off without outside influence
