How do you know that this time it's "true love"? Sometimes, in a long-term relationship, people get too used to each other, too comfortable and so go looking for something/someone to change things around, maybe spice things up a bit. It sounds like perhaps you're slightly bored with what you have (perhaps this was/is your true love) and so looking for excitement elsewhere. What you should do is sit down and talk with your partner honestly and try to figure out what's going on. They don't call it the seven year itch for nothing.

what do you want out of life? that's the big question. if you want to be married and raise banshees and yadda yadda, you you shouldn't have stayed in a "long-term relationship" without having at least discussed those things, stupid. i think you're just afraid to be alone. and what do you know about this true love business anyway? you're sneaking out at night and calling that true love or what?

you cant be sure that other relationships would work so it is wise to go for it if ever it comes b'cos opportunity(true love) comes but once.

i would go for it personallly if you're describing it as true love that indicates that you feel very deeply for them so yes you should.
