before the flood of Noah, the world was more conducise to animals living longer and growing larger, after the flood the world was less conducive and although there were some left they tended to die out The world before the flood would be more conducive to dinosaurs
dinosaur is a relatively new word from the last couple centuries, before that people probably would call a dinosaur a dragon, we even call some large lizards, the dragons of Komodo
dragons were probably among the last remaining dinosaurs, they probably had to grasp for a word to use. And yes people killed the dinosaurs?
Why, you ask?
Adam sinned and brought death into the world, including animal death. As men populated the earth and violence inclreased God judged the earth because of men's violence and limited the length of their lives from centuries to about 70 years... so the sin of man was too much for those lil T Rexx... it killed em
magical critters... no

Dragons are nothing more than dinosaurs. Modern man simply changed the name to something more 'scientific sounding'.
I mean, the Kraken of mythology is dismissed as fantasy, yet everyone acknowledges the existance of giant 60' squid. People laugh at the idea of a sea monster, yet whales are a common sight if you know where and when to look.
The unicorn is nothing more than the re'em (a kind of now-extinct ox), or is the imagery of the symbol of the shaggy single-horned goat mentioned in Daniel.
And I doubt that Christians killed off the dinosaurs/dragons. After all, it was by the actions of many, both secular and religious, and of varied religions, who killed off the Dodo, the Great Auk, the Tazmanian tiger, Pyrenean Ibex, and the Miss Waldron's red colobus monkey.
And if you wanna get scientific, if dragons are dinosaurs, then dragons were long gone before people arrived on the scene, so again, it's not our fault.

Of course the Christians killed off the evil creatures the dragons the pagans used to sacrifice their children, mostly young women, to them-this is described in both Greek pagan and christian legends. The unicorns though they seem to have been holy animals who could only be captured by a virgin.

It is a difficult question to answer. If it were true that dragons roamed the earth, where is the evidence? Although many have tried to say some bones and skelitons have been located throughout the world, it can not be found that creatures of mythic proportion were living during the days of olde.
Although many cultures potray these animals as fire breathing, winged wonders, they seem to only be mythical stories.
But, how wonderful would it be to see such an amimal exsit. I believe in the days of olde, and would enjoy seeing such a sight.

I think they had a good ago at it..
There are so many stories about this conflict with these animals!!
They definitely existed. Old bestiaries show that...
But I am not sure if They all died. I think the dragons are still here, but have gone deep in the earth. And the unicorn has been sighted continually till recently in India by shaman and yogis.

Its plausible, but if I was to give an honest answer, unlikely, or at least in the form we understand dragons to be. I suspect they could have been a large species of lizard that is now extinct. The lizards on the Galapagos Islands when encountered by man for the first time must have appeared like dragons.

I believe there were dragons on earth. The Bible makes reference to at least one, and other books in the Catholic Bible mentions one, too. Either man killed them off or the environment changed causing this.

Sure why not. Look up the name Saint George.
It's all myth anyway, why not add dragons?
