I dont think so, and the sad thing is it all happened because of religion itself. These idiots had such strong beliefs thats they thought bringing down 4 planes full of innocent people would make their so called god adore and accept them. Pathetic

rickey w, are you saying that all those people who died did so because they didnt believe in god?? Are you saying it was their fault? That god punished them for not believing in him? Absolute rubbish. In that case I'm waiting for my punishment, but then again I am gay so maybe thats my punishment

no, there's no such thing as any god.
we humans control our own fates and we continue to screw things up.
we need to take responsability for our actions and not hide behind religion.

Yup.

"Or those eighteen, upon whom the tower in Siloam fell, and slew them, think ye that they were sinners above all men that dwelt in Jerusalem? I tell you, Nay: but, except ye repent, ye shall all likewise perish." - Luke 13:4-5

There's evil people out there... I mean truly evil. Those who would seek to kill innocents simply because of who they are.

Wherever there's a shadow... there must be a light.

To see the evil of mankind is a sure sign that there is indeed God. For if we did not know the goodness of God, then how can we call such hatred, "evil"? If it were not so, then the act of slaughtering 3000 people would be no different than saving 3000 people from cancer... we would have no absolute 'benchmark' as to what good truly is. Yet, God's righteousness is our benchmark... and as such, we can see what acts are good, and what acts are evil.

And to Brianna the goddess : Why in the world would we *want* another Crusade?! That's nonsense. The Jews already have Jerusalem. Having a crusade is nonsense, since we're the ones who had a hand in the rebirth of Israel. On top of that, what could we possibly want in Iraq? There's nothing significant to us there. The whole Iraq conflict is about oil. The greedy, the powermongers, and the oil tycoons want Iraq. To Christians, Iraq is little more than 'just another nation'. Having a crusade (that is, in the modern sense of en-masse worship, praise, and commitments to Christ) would be more valuable in places like China and South America.

People (usually those that don't belive in God) say, 'how can there be a God with so many bad things happening in the world'

I would say to these people that some bad things are man-made; they have a free will, and will be punished/rewarded accordingly on the day of judgement. Other things, such as natural disasters take place to eradicate sinful people and to remind people that Allah is all mighty, and you don't know when your time will come.

That is how I see the World and the events that take place. People of the Western world will always remember 9/11, but who will remember all the other people dying daily in Africa, Middle East. that is not to say that I condone the events of 9/11, but that I merely am trying to understand them. Allah is all knowing, all powerful.

I think the idea of 'god' is there for people to believe in when they feel bad for whatever reason. There's no logic in religion. I mean go to a priest and ask him 'where did god come from?'

He'll say something like: my child, he's always been there.

That's not logical. If god does exist then where did he come from? Something can't appear from nothing. That's impossible. Also remember that religion is written by man. The Bible, the Koran, the (I'm sorry i don't know what the Jewish version of the bible is); it was all written by people, humans just like everyone else on this planet. And those people all achieved MANY followers and power. Is there any other reason to start a religion. It truly makes the idea of god as written in these man-made books silly, to me anyway.

Also you're right when you say that it all happened because of religion. During the crusades and the Spanish inquisition huge numbers of people were killed. All these deaths of Iraqis and all those other people there in the middle east is also due to religion. Those people there aren't all bad but because of religion there is death.

Whatever God gifted human, is to testify his behavour. 9/11 is not the end of the world, there had been much worse events in the past. Remember the Nuclear Bombs.

Every single man/woman will be asked of what he did.
For those innocent people, God will never forget them. He will punish the criminals and reward who deserve accordingly.

Pease will never be attained on Earth except when those who follow God's instructions are the rulers. And it is a relative ratio.

Christians do not believe in that type of thing. what they believed in is sad due to the large amount of loss of life amd the continuing believe they have leading to the possibility of even more loss of life. I stillbelieve that there is a God and that He is here for us all, we just have to call on His name and He will answer even if the answer is no. Iknow that God exists al;so by the plane load of people that gave up their lives to save alot more and what about the out pouring of support for the families and friends of those wholost someone/h yes God exists or this country would be in even worse shape than it is.

THIS HAS NOTHING TO DO WITH RELIGON!!!!! do not catagorise a whole religon or nation because of a few.. this is not islam or its teachings .,.. everyone is responsible for there own actions so this is caused by a group of selfish ignorant idiots... how can u say there is no god when a misfotrune happens? when u see a man with a unruley beard and messy hair do u say there are no barbers or hairdressers???? and do not refer to allah as a so called god.. i respect yours and evryone elses religon so would appreciate you respecting ours.. do not judge a whole nation/religon for one idiot who thinks he represents it.. if that be the case... everyone should be against cathlics for the priest who picked on the little boy.. or germans for the slaying of jews.. the list goes on.. i hoped after so many years people had grown up enough to see logic but what can u do.. not everyone was blessed with a a sense of logic

I believe God gives people free choice to do what they do.

I do wonder where God was in 9/11.

I believe God was present in the outpuring of love that took many forms after 9/11.

I was half a block away on 9/11/01. I am that distance right now.

People die when its their time to die. You cannot blame God or say there is no God when bad thing happen. Bad things happen because of bad people. God is perfect therefor cannot sin. God gave his children free will it is not Gods fault that some of his children make bad to very bad choices. Just believe in Jesus Christ with all of your heart and life will make sense and never seem that bad. There is a God don't ever believe anything different....but it is your choice!

There is a god out there which ever way you look at it. Someone created this world. It wasn't me and it sure didn't just evolve out of nothing.

Life has always been here, some people suffer more than others! You cannot choose where you are born.

As you sow so shall you reap! Im not Christian but this in the bible.
