Try the following link:
http://www.maplin.co.uk/Module.aspx?ModuleNo=38343&criteria=power%20meter&doy=11m9

If the link doesn't work, go to www.maplin.co.uk and browse for "Plug-In Mains Power & Energy Monitor"

Or try your nearest Maplin store.

What you are requiring is an ammeter, but I don't think there is a type available that you can simply plug into.

This product would have to be properly connected by a competent electrician.

You can work out the power consumption by reading the label on the item you need to know the power consumption of.

For example if you have a heater rated at 1kw then this will have a power consumption of 1kw per hour, and if your electricity meter rating is 6.5p per kw/hr then the running cost of the heater will be 6.5p per hour, or a 2kw heater would cost 13p per hour and so on.

Hope this helps.
